Tonight was our families first time visiting this restaurant. It was hands down the best experience. We had seven people in our party and the food and service was beyond excellent for all of us! Very friendly staff, and the owner even come out to greet us and make sure the food was perfect! 10/10 recommend this restaurant! We will definitely be returning!

Me and my husband ate here yesterday evening and the food is amazing!!!! The fried mushrooms are as big as my hand the asparagus was huge and so tender as well as the steaks we ordered everything was just so good!!! And the service was great as well our waitress was Michelle and she’s so nice and kind made sure we had everything we wanted and needed just a good place to eat all together!!!

I was excited to eat a steak. The drive (40 minutes away) was beautiful. I ordered a T-bone medium rare but got one end rare to raw, the other end well done. Obviously not cut properly and despite that, their cook that day (May 5, 2023) was incompetent. Not just because the meat was not cooked to order but mostly because it had a gawdawful taste of gas. It is clear to me that the air to gas mixture was set too rich leading to incomplete combustion and fuel gas entrainment. Even my freshmen students in chemistry would be able tell that! The waitress, who was nice, apparently never experienced that. Maybe it was an off day or they were breaking in a new person. I never anywhere have I had a steak with that terrible gas taste. I’m glad I held off on the wine I would’ve drank with the steak (most of their selections are box wines but they had a decent half bottle of J Lohr). The waitress was kind and offered me an alternative. I love fried catfish. But I hate the taste, smell, and texture of the often used substitute called swai or swei. It’s a Vietnamese fish, not your typically excellent catfish from Alabama or Mississippi and a few other places. I believe the waitress believed it was catfish. But I bet the manager knew (or was a victim of his/her distributor’s mislabeling). I ate it, tipped well, and left. I didn’t want to complain anymore. I was in a good mood and wanted to stay that way. I’m sure they are capable of delivering a fine meal but I was simply the unlucky one that day (including the baked potato, which was hard and the broccoli that was skimpy). Will I try them again? Probably not (unless the management convinces me otherwise).

We went on a Friday night the place was empty they opened at 4 we were there at 6 steak was small ill-prepared the baked potato was so old and cold it couldn’t even melt the butter service was okay but when she asked what we thought of the meal and if I wanted it to go box I told her they should be ashamed to be selling old potatoes 2 hours after opening she laughed and said she was sorry and stuck the bill down anyway won’t be returning here

On behalf of the Detroit Highwaymen MC (Tennessee Highwaymen MC chapter) we want to thank the owner, the wait and kitchen staff, for a great time. We came in at 9 they closed at 10, our food was absolutely great, the service was very good and the kitchen staff even sung and made the night a blast. I wish I could rate this higher. The food is probably the best in town, but the service was horrible. Took an hour to get our meals and another 45 minutes after we were done to get our checks. I’ve never been so close to just leaving before.

Best restaurant in Hazard. Don’t waste time trying to find a quality meal somewhere else in this city because there isn’t one. This is it and it’s actually really great. Highly recommend ABOVE ANYWHERE ELSE LOCAL.
