Had a stir fry bowl with shrimp, spring mix vegetables and rice vermicelli noodles that came out steaming hot and had about 12 shrimp in the bowl. Not bad for a chain restaurant.

The food here is surprisingly good if taking the low price into consideration – it’s better than our expectations. You can order on your own by scanning the menu QR code. Staff are hardworking.

This place, including other locations, has always been a go-to for decent quality, reasonably healthy food at a reasonable price. Now the prices have gone up and the portions are DRASTICALLY smaller. There are exactly 3 small pieces of beef in this stir fry. This is not worth $13 plus tax and tip. They’re also following the NWO into a cashless society. What a shame.

It was okay. I got the coconut curry shrimp. The sauce was spicy but lacking in flavor that I was craving from some of my favorite Thai restaurants. All of the ingredients were fresh with very crisp tasty vegetables though.

I really was excited to see a Fire Bowl location in the Cedar Park area, I used to eat at the San Antonio location a lot. Things have changed since I last ate there. I ordered egg rolls, and Dumplings for appetizers. The egg rolls were really good, crispy and steaming hot. The Dumplings however were not completely steamed or they sat in the window awhile, they were kinda cold in the center. I also ordered Hot and Sour soup, and Miso soup for my guest. The Hot and Sour was not as flavorful as it used to be, however the Miso was pretty good. Then the actual bowls, one with beef and the other was a vegetarian bowl. The Beef bowl was decent but not great , the sauce on both entrées was water thin almost and the vegetarian meal was really not good. Overall this place could stand to improve on their quality control, also the staff was not very friendly and seemed bothered by the fact I asked for chopsticks and my eggrolls when I realized they hadn’t come out with everything else. I am easy going and not demanding, but I do expect the basic service standards IF you expect me to tip upfront when I pay for the food.

Nice and quick staff, but the food was just terrible. We ordered the beef stir fry rice, and the fried tofu stir fry with lo mein noodles. The noodles were very very soggy and soft, and the sauce had a weird, plastic taste. We threw both bowls away and ate the crab ragoons (which were good). $36 for all that + a DEFAULT 15% tip. Won’t be going back, will just go to Panda for fast food Chinese.

My kids and I visited Fire Bowl to try for the first time. We ordered Pad Kee Mao, Pad Thai and kid Lo Mein. Food are not rich in flavor, not very tasty at all. However, for the price and the portion of the food, they are just right and very affordable. I do not like the taste of the food but my kids do, so I guess I still have to bring them back.

The reason I gave Firewbowl 2 starts is due to *Grubhub* and there delivery/relay special instructions and reviewing orders prior to picking up for delivery!. I’ve always enjoyed my experience when visiting this place and the food quality, especially there Spicy Coconut Soup!.. my favorite!!, as you can see on the photos, I ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken with a side of extra sauce. As you can see this order has -0-zero sauce on the chicken nor did I receive a side (though was charged and specified on order).. I don’t know if it was the ordering service that didn’t relay the information correct or the cooks paying close attention to the details. Either way I would blame the driver since he gladly received his tip, and did not look into the bag prior to leaving.. I believe in tipping for good service. This was not that. I will continue to visit.. but weary of using a delivery service for the true in restaurant experience.
