Good ol fashioned grubbing! Burgers cooked the way I LIKE THEM DONE which is not overcooked! But I always chow down on the basket of hot crunchy onion rings first and take the huge other half of my burgy home for later. On cold rainy days get you some CHILI on! Bowl or dog… They nail it on both. Service has always been cheerful and warm when I’ve gone. Atmosphere?… Feel free to take your kids when you’re running around, it’s a DINER! Let’s your hair loose! But always impeccably clean. When u can’t think of what to eat, just go to Jeffries

Whenever we are in San Mateo – Jeffrey’s is a “MUST”. Great burgers, delicious sides and drinks. We will come back for sure.

I like this place. I was able to get a simple burger that fit my dietary requirements but tasted really good. They do country homemade style gluten free buns and they ask you how you like your burger cooked – I went medium rare which was perfect. I also enjoyed the sweet potato fries which were not overly salty like they often are elsewhere. The decor is like a clean version of the stereotypical American diner and the staff were very pleasant. The prices were reasonable for San Mateo. I’ll be back soon.

The food is really good overall. The shake was average. It reasonably priced since it’s ~6 for each of the items I got which is good for the area that we are in. The burger was average. The garlic fries were pretty tasty and crispy with them being fresh. The wait wasn’t bad for a weekday lunch.

Solid burger place. The bacon burger was just right to fill me up, the buns were a little bit burnt but the fact that you can literally build your own burger after they cook the meat is a great option to help mask the taste of a like char. Got here early during lunch time, but when we were leaving it was filling up quick.

Great burgers in a cool retro diner setting. The fries and onion rings are amazing also! Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’d swear they were fried in tallow.

Burger Patty was pretty tasty. Overall overpriced considering you dress the burger yourself like a backyard BBQ. You select your burger, cheese and a couple other items, I added mushrooms. Cheeseburger is then delivered as seen below and you make your way to the prep-bar where you can place lettuce, onion, tomato, pickles and a few other options on to your liking. In my opinion this is just an average burger that isn’t worth the price, if I’m going to indulge in a burger I’m going somewhere with better value and taste.

Order your burger at the counter and after it is delivered to your table, take it to the topping bar to load it however you like. The fries are nicely crispy with a slight crunch. I like the relative simplicity and slightly lower price than a full sit down burger restaurant. Service is quick and efficient. The bathroom is through the kitchen area which is odd.

Great burgers. Reasonable pricing. Even if there aren’t many choices, a few of them are special. Good for a quick meal.
