Tried this place while visiting San Diego. Was lucky enough to meet the new owner David. Really nice to go somewhere where the owner is also working and preparing food. Was even better that the food was so good. Great poke bowl and friendly conversation. Highly recommend!

Hi Poke is one of my favorite Poke places. I come here every time I am in San Diego, and I’m never disappointed. Such a great combination of flavors for a very inexpensive price. I will be trying to squeeze in another meal during this visit.

I got the Hi Poke Classic Bowl, it was downright amazing. Very filling but not heavy. Felt fresh and healthy. Don’t skip the chipotle mayo and this other red sauce they recommended on the side, these were delish.

Yum! Just a short walk from my friend’s office, and we wanted something light and fresh. The location is small but clean and modern. There was a bit of a line, which is frustrating during a lunch break but a great sign of food quality. I ordered a custom bowl with greens; my friend choose a bowl created by the restaurant. Both were delicious. We’ll definitely be back soon.

Ordered from here via UberEats. Half way through my poke bowl I found an alive fly crawling around. It ruined the meal

Literally the worst poke bowl I’ve ever had. I’ve been to this place a few times before and it was fine.. so I don’t know what happened here. For $18, the portions are absolutely ridiculous. The bowls are BIG but it’s only filled halfway with all the ingredients. The rice tasted stale.: and was almost crunchy, like it had been sitting all day. It was just so bad.. I’m so disappointed. And unfortunately for me, I ordered delivery with Uber eats and even after saying something to support about the quality, they basically said “sorry lol” and didn’t give me a refund or anytime. I know that is not this place’s fault but the quality is. I won’t be back again j guess.

The portions are amazing here. Lots of stuff comes in one bowl so it is very flavorful but the sauce felt a bit too salty for the rice amount. Fish quality seems ok, not the best quality.

David, the owner, was very friendly. It was a little pricey, but you pay for the quality. Fish was extremely fresh and portions were good. Would recommend over it’s local competition .
