I had Rene cater my birthday party and it was fantastic. The food was delicious and there were options for my vegan, vegetarian and meat eating friends. Rene himself delivered and set up the food. We were happy and full of delicious food. The process of ordering was easy breezy too!

Ordered late at night after a long day and the tacos were soooo good. I got 3 different ones to try them all and it just kept getting better with each one. Shrimp was my favorite. The tacos are so good I forgot to even use the sauces. This is my new favorite taco spot.

Went only once in the last two years and it was terrible, no flavors or any sensation of love in the food, only salt. Lots of salt. Decided to try them again tonight in hopes maybe my initial visit was an off night or summat. That does not appear to be the case after this second visit. The carne asada burrito was exactly the same, no subtlety or nuance of flavor; only salty chewy meat, bland beans and rice and…. that burrito cost $17. When an historic neighborhood is ‘changing’ at this furious pace and in this familiar direction, it’s no wonder you have overpriced boring food at such an exorbitant price point with a five star review rating. A terrible disappointment.

I’ve had Rene’s a few times and it is always good, though sometimes feels a little pricey for dinner options. I just tried their new breakfast menu for the first time though and am really impressed. You can choose from burritos or tacos, and there are a few protein options; also an egg and tomato vegetarian option and two vegan options. Tacos are $2 each and burritos are around $8. Burrito was really flavorful and especially loved the salsa verde that came with it. They have coffee as well.

I can’t really rate this fairly because it said it had dine in and it was a food truck with a couple of bench tables outside. We were tired from being at the Tampa Fairgrounds RV show, it was hot and we wanted sit down service. It was highly rated so we will hit it another day and let you know how it was. It was busy and had good reviews so I can’t wait to try it.

Super delicious butternut squash and oyster mushroom tacos and burrito. Even the side of rice and beans were flavored nicely. Definitely going to be a regular here. Delicious veg options and friendly service.

Great food. Wish the hours were better. Nice to have a brewery next door to get a quick drink while you wait.

Man I love this place but they’re a little too good at sneaking up charges in without telling you. A burrito became over $20 without warning and without meat.

Basically the best taco I’ve had in a LONG time! You can taste the love in their food! Don’t miss this gem! The prices are totally reasonable for the delicious food you’re getting! I saw some reviews that said they are too expensive, unfortunately prices have gone up on everything. It’s just how it goes these days. I’d rather pay more money for good food than waste money on gross food. Duh.
