unfortunately the quality of the food and service here has declined soo much in the past 5 years that we rarely eat here anymore. The rice is days old, the beans are dry and overly refried, the tamales are dry, the steak is overly cooked and too thick for a milanesa. It really disappointed my family and i when we went today for Fathers Day. Not even going to go into the awful state of the furniture, definitely needs new service, new cooks, and new furniture! and now in spanish….que lastima y que verguenza de restaurante. En sus dias era el mejor pero lamentablemente ya no queda nada del buen servicio, ni rica comida mexicana!

Crowded Friday night. Very organized staff. Ok Mexican food, eventhough my chorizo, egg and potato plate was slightly burnt but flavorful and my flour tortillas were super overcooked and hard. Decent prices. The Mariachi band that played around the restaurant were very good and added to the ambiance of the place.

I would give this place six stars if I could. I’ve been coming here for decades and it has been a great experience without exception: friendly wait staff, fast service, and great food. Especially recommended are the chilis rellenos and the tamales.

The food is not that good for the price. The costumer service was bad. I guess they are not oriented to have Hispanic costumers. They “forgot” to give me silverware. The Taste of food is poor, not recommended.

Excellent authentic food. Best I’ve had since arriving in the Bay area. Rice and beans were very authentic. Ground beef enchilada was excellent. Hard shell ground beef taco was great too. The sauce to put on the traffic is a little sweet so if you don’t like that have them hold. We will definitely be coming. Side note wheel of a great fountain drink and they are just perfect.
