Located in a small town of Randolph, VT, The Forge gives a country vibe with a cozy home atmosphere. It was recommended by a good friend who lives in the area.Fairly busy on a Tuesday night, so the food did take some time to come out from the kitchen. Service was satisfactory given there were only two servers. Chicken Schnitzel was something new for me but did taste good. Quesadilla was passable. Overall, it was a good dining experience in a beautiful VT town.

This was surprisingly pretty good. We got there right at 4pm, when they first opened, so nobody was really there. I got the chicken schnitzel and my wife got the butternut squash ravioli. We both thoroughly enjoyed the food and will be back!

Came here summer 2022 and had the garlic scallops. It was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Back spring of 2023 and it was just as great. Would drive 2hrs just to eat here.

Very very long wait times. The first time we went people were cancelling orders and leaving because of the wait. This time, not only did we wait well over an hour for food but our friends’ order of surf and turf was missing the turf and ours was missing the veggies. We had to get the desert that came with our Valentine’s Day special to go because the food took so long and it was not the promised fancy chocolate cheesecake but a slice of carrot cake. We were offered no compensation for the wait, missing parts of our orders, or the disappointing dessert substitute so we paid full price for less than a full order. We want to support local business but we’ve given three chances now and, although the food you get is good, it’s not worth the wait or the repeated mess ups. We won’t go back.

Pleasantly surprised by this place, which I didn’t know existed. When I arrived, the parking lot was packed, a band was getting ready to perform, which was also a surprise. The food was good. The chef recommended the scallop entree, and said the scallops were very fresh and never frozen. Indeed, we got an enormous portion, with huge scallops that were done perfectly. Really enjoyed it. The band was good too. The place was loud, but as I was leaving the restaurant, I noticed other tables in a quieter area. Looking forward to going again.

Open late which is a blessing, great atmosphere, involved owner who hires super staff and cook (I’m currently eating butternut squash ravioli with a creamy cranberry nutty sauce that is perfect for fall), Fast internet, fun bar, good pool table. The front dining room is a little more formal and quiet – easy place to talk. The back half is bar, pool table, and a mix of high and low top tables. Both halves feature cozy, roaring pellet stoves! Outdoor tables in summer top it off. Great place. So glad to have it, a big plus for Randolph and a great stopping place as it’s right in the middle of multiple ski areas.

I was extremely impressed by the food and service. My wife ordered fish and I ordered the steak. We both enjoyed our dishes and the flavor on the steak was really good. The twice baked potato was one of the best I ever had. We shared dessert and it was also very good. The waitress and bartender were very pleasant. I will definitely go back.

Wow! Everything was spectacular! Fresh salad with house made dressings. Perfectly seasoned steak and shrimp. House made ranch was so great. Burger was fantastic, cooked to perfection. Homemade pumpkin cheesecake was divine. Even the decaf coffee was great! Service was spot on and super friendly. Free pool table! What a great experience!

Portions are large which is rare, the atmosphere is inviting, two large pool tables, a wide variety of delicious drafts and the icing on the cake was the phenomenal service. I have been twice now and although the food was amazing, it is the service that has me coming back. This woman was not only singlehandedly running the floor, but she had atleast 8 tables last night! She made sure we were taken care of and she made us feel welcome. I have not felt this way about other restaurants in the area.

Can’t really rate it, but don’t want to yank their reviews. Recommend calling first as the hours published on the website and other internet sources do not reflect current hours. Had wanted to try this place for a while, drove all the way over there only to find out it was closed. Will try again, but will definitely call first.
