Pretty ok but basic and cheap foods. Great grub spot for your buck. Lou seems friendly, just didn’t appreciate when he proceeded to clap at me and hit the table to try and get my order. I get that he is a one man operation but remember that your customers move on their time. When I made my order of a double cheeseburger and fries. I was given a single cheeseburger with a price increase of $1 due to “giving him a hard time” when I bothered to ask why I couldn’t have time to order. Good spot, good and honest hard work, but poor hospitality.

Lou’s is a great spot for lunch when you don’t want to break your bank. (Cash only FYI) Simple grilled burgers and dogs for cheap ($4 for a cheeseburger). They’re not huge (~1/4lb), but they’re not $20 either. Two of them are very filling (coming from someone that loves giant burgers). Add bacon for $1 and fries for $2. There is not a better lunch deal in Ithaca.

Lou is such an amazing guy!! I moved here 13 years ago to Upstate New York and I was walking on the Commons and he was selling hot dogs. I only had enough for my daughter to get what she wanted but Lou gave me one as well and smiled and told me about his story I try and support him Everytime I’m in the area and I treat someone else

I love the French fries! The food is cheap but the quality is good. The owner is very kind and friendly. He gave me a free bottle of water one time when I didn’t have cash and that’s what he only accepts.

Wonderful food & service! We ordered and then realized we didn’t have cash, we said we would go to our car quick and grab it. Lou told us “pay me next time you come” We of course went back to the car got cash, went to pay & leave a tip he refused the tip! Will come back again if in the area. Great guy & great food!
