Used to come here after clubbing in Manhattan. Brought back a lot of memories. Fresh and super hot Chinese food. So hot was my dish that the tip of my tongue got burnt. That is a good thing, though. They do a lot of business and the food is always fresh and good. The underground floor is so cool. Something about the waiters with the matching blue jackets also makes it cool. Too bad they close at 10 PM. I wanted to go back at 4 AM like I did 20 years ago.

My friend and I came to Chinatown looking for somewhere modest to eat. The place itself could be mistaken for a movie set, not for its classiness but instead its humility. There are dollar bills and various IDs plastered along the walls; it is really cool. Anyway, their menu is very expansive and reasonably priced. I ordered the Hot & Sour soup and the Pork & Onion dish. My friend ordered the soup as well, some dumplings and duck. The soup was just excellent and very spicy, but not too much! My pork dish was complimented by a savory and salty sauce. They literally gave me so much food around 1:00PM I had enough to last me into the early morning next day. The service was also PERFECT! It is quite shocking actually considering many higher end restaurants in Manhattan I’ve visited couldn’t compete with Wo Hop’s service. Our waters were constantly filled and my meal was wrapped up formally in Chinese to-go boxes. The place is cash only, which is my only complaint if it would even qualify as one. If you’re visiting Chinatown Wo Hop is definitely a first stop!

This place served me the fluffiest veggie egg roll I’ve ever tried! The fried wontons were generously portioned and overall fresh as heck. We tried the General Tso’s, my favorite thing about that was the breading+chicken although it was not that spicy–might see if I can request that next time. Roast duck fried rice was good. Overall cheap! Fastest service I’ve ever experienced in my life.

Got here at 7:00. This is a good time as it gets busier later and you have to wait on a line to be seated and served.

This place lives up to the hype. The food and service were excellent. Coming from Georgia it nice to have authentic Chinese food. Prices are good compared to other restaurants in the area. Be prepared it’s cash only.

Nice atmosphere and service was good. But the orange chicken I had was below average. Felt like old McDonald’s chicken nuggets with some sweet sauce on top. Something I’d expect from a cheap buffet not and old school Asian restaurant in China town.

Wo Hop is a classic Chinese restaurant in New York City’s Chinatown that has been serving up delicious and authentic food for over 50 years. The food is always fresh and made to order, and the portions are generous. I also love that Wo Hop offers a wide variety of dishes to choose from, so there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re in the mood for classic Chinese fare or something a little more unique, Wo Hop is sure to have something you’ll love.

I love Chinese food and this place definitely delivers on authentic. The portions are huge. The food also came out super fast. We did have to wait but it was pretty quick considering how busy they were. Definitely would eat here again!

Recently dined at this location and loved it. We had the Egg Drop Soup, Suey Cow Dumpling soup, Egg Roll and General Tso Chicken. This was the best Chinese food we have ever eaten!

We picked this restaurant because of the rave reviews as having the best egg rolls. Sorry, I have to strongly disagree. They were better than average. I found the chicken fried rice bland tasting.
