Hilltop Restaurant has been serving food and providing alcohol since the beginning of the 1800s. With the original cabin still in-tack from 1809, we are rumored to be the oldest building in Brookville. With many names throughout the years; Union House, Canal House, Taproom, Ye Ole Shack, and Crazy Dogs, we are excited to add our name to the list. As of September 2021, new owners came in and revived the business, transforming it into the full service, family friendly, restaurant that it is now. While still offering a full bar, pool table, and an outdoor patio, Hilltop is the perfect blend of sports bar and restaurant, ideal for any age, event, or family.

Have eaten at Hilltop probably a dozen times the last 5 years. With that said I’ve always had great food till this evening. Not a fan of the rueben dog. It was terrible. I’ll still will be a patron of Hilltop but just won’t order that item.

Stopped in on a whim to grab some lunch. What a nice surprise. The food was very good and the staff was very friendly. The reuben dog was amazing! And the beer battered fries are a must have. We will definitely return.

Stopped by for lunch and ate the Turkey Manhattan special they had going on that day. I’m usually not one to order open face sandwiches at restaurants but this meal was delicious and filling. The service was very good as well as the waiter (who may have also been the owner according to my father in law) took good care of our party and the other customers that came in for a meal. Definitely recommend this place.
