Previously a known as Villa Maria’s this place place has been a Newhall hidden gem for many years. Now under new ownership Neca’s now has been remodeled into a full restaurant while still functioning as a local store as well. Clearly a local favorite the place typically fills up on the weekends as friends and families come in to enjoy delicious mariscos and micheladas. Highly recommend the aguachiles , michelada , chicharon de pescado , and caldo de res!

Came here Saturday night (about 6pm) 3/11/23 after looking at the google reviews and expecting good food. Some of these reviewers don’t know good Mexican food. I ordered camarones al mojo de ajo. The food was below basic, they used canned garlic for the shrimp and it didn’t taste like garlic shrimp, rice was extra dry, and the salad was about three leaves of lettuce. If you’re in the mood to just fill your stomach with food and don’t care about taste, this is the place for you. Additionally, restaurant was filled with older men just drinking flirting with the waitress, don’t bring your family here. I will admit the highlight was the hand made tortillas, those were actually good.
