We stopped in on a Sunday after enjoying the day walking around the downtown area. We ordered 3 large pies, a large salad with chicken, and 6 six drinks. Our total came out to about 150 bucks. It was pretty pricey, even though one of the pies was part of a family deal. My husband didn’t care much for the pizza. He said it lacked sauce, but the kids liked it, and I can see that the cheese was very fresh. The salad was very big and filling with lots of veggies, but the chicken did lack a little flavor. Overall, the service was good and the food was ok.

The house salad was the best item on the menu we tried. The pizza was nicely done. I had a Ruben sandwich, they were out of the marble rye, so I chose the wheat bread, it was just ok. Not enough meat or thousand island dressing.

A great cafe with tons of food options, plenty of seating, and a nice vibe. There’s an outdoor seating area in back when it’s warm, as well as an area for kids to play. I think my favorite I’ve tried on multiple visits is the pizza, but my Reuben last time was good too. My kiddos enjoyed the kids menu options as well

Had the Slice and salad combo. Super fresh house salad with good dressing. My pizza had a thick layer of cheese and so much of the toppings I chose. The crust was the best part and cooked well. All at a good price.

Highly recommend this place! The staff is very friendly and helpful and the restaurant is very accommodating to dietary restrictions. Finding a restaurant that fits my gluten-free and dairy-free needs is a challenge and Poor Richard’s is able to accommodate that. Also, lots of seating and fast Wi-Fi for working.

We met up with some friends and spent a few hours listing to some great music. The vibe was great, it was like hanging out at your neighbor’s house. We ate some awesome pizza and ended up staying until they closed the doors for the night. All the staff members were friendly and I hear they are going to expand the outdoor seating area. We will definitely return!

Neat place in Colorado Springs. Came here on a recommendation for good coffee. This is a bookstore/coffee house/eatery/toy store. The coffee was pretty good and the book store was nice. Not a Barnes and Noble with a massive selection, but what they do have was great. If you’re looking for a quaint spot for coffee and a good book, make the stop.

As someone who has a severe gluten allergy, I cried when I ate the pizza. It didn’t taste gluten free (but it was!), it didn’t fall apart like most do. It was incredible and it didn’t break the bank. The workers there were so kind and down to earth. AND THE BOOKSTORE!!! Wonderful! The live music was also great and seeing some couples dance was such a fun moment. And they are welcoming to all! I would recommend this place to any and all!

The food was good. However, we did have to ask to have our table wiped down as it seemed no one was taking care of the dining area. I also found it a bit shady that they were asking for tips, but we had to get our own food to the table and bus our own table when we were finished. Maybe they should be tipping me….lol. All in all, it was a decent experience, and I enjoyed the food selection.

I’ve been frequenting poor Richard’s for 30 years. Their salad and pizza are my absolute favorite in town. Quality food and a comfortable atmosphere were what kept me coming back. Tonight I ordered a salad to go. It was $5 more than just a few months ago, part of which was a newly implemented “to go fee.” An extra fee if I choose to take home vs eat in house? That’s the most preposterous thing I’ve ever heard. Staff was friendly as always, salad was great as usual, but sadly, with these kind of shady business practices, even after 30 years of patronage, I won’t be returning again.
