It was decent. The brisket was tender, but it didn’t have much flavor. I had to use a lot of sauce. The sauce was good. The Brunswick stew was really good. The mac n chez was not to my liking. It was over seasoned. My family liked their meals. We were there during non busy hours and service was great!

Popped in for some to-go food today, & was very impressed!! Brisket & smoked chicken salad sandwiches were great!!! Mrs Lynette was as kind as could be, & too excellent care of us. Fantastic service all around!!!

Overall pretty good, but I think the ribs could have been smoked a little while longer so that they really fall off the bone. But besides that, the Mac and cheese and fries were great.

My family and I ate a late lunch here the other day. The fried okra was great but that is where the good ends. The brisket, beans, and mac+cheese were cold to the touch upon serving. We asked the guy behind the counter for warm mac+cheese for the kids and we were again brought cold macaroni. Looming at the review, it seems they are falling victim to bad employees or the lack of emoyees altogether.

I was really excited to try this place! The menu has some fantastic concepts! Like the brisket Philly and the brisket sammich with pimento. That’s what we had- the wife had the pimento, I had the Philly, and we shared some nachos. All of which left us less than impressed. The meat was cooked well- very tender- but no flavor. The bark was tasteless and the sauces just didn’t have enough to carry the load. I feel like this place could be good- just needs to kick it up on the flavor with fresher seasonings and a bit more wood in the Southern Pride smoker.

This was our first visit here and it will not be our last. Everything we ordered brisket, pulled pork, green beans, fries, coleslaw was delicious. There was absolutely nothing negative. Price, portion size and flavor was spot on. Oh and the white sauce was a winner.
