Came through town on Monday and stopped in for lunch. Absolutely loved the Cafe! Chicken club was delicious and service was excellent! Will definitely go back and recommend to others!

If you have eaten here before, plan to be very disappointed and angry. Service was poor and so was the food. A close girlfriend and I come here often. Her hot chicken sandwich had ice cold chicken. At $10.00 for this sandwich and this was her favorite sandwich here she was disgusted. My sub sandwich that I ordered before was so small two thin slices of bread would have been better. At $12.00 for this was asking much. Even the drink cups were reduced by 1/2 . For a $30.00 lunch which I tipped at time of order was disappointing at best . This has been a place I go to once a week. I hate McDonalds but feel I’ll go there instead of here . Cutting costs and quality to this point is definitely disappointing. I was embarrassed to take a close girlfriend here . I don’t expect I will get a reply as I don’t think they care. It’s hard to complain when you are on a date and don’t want to make a public display. Unless they reach out I’ll never come back to this place. Please beware

My favorite place to eat whenever I’m in Altavista. Food is healthy and fresh and very reasonably priced. The coffee is fantastic. The staff are warm and friendly and the cafe area is a perfect place to ready/study/socialize. Highly recommend if looking for respite from all the heavy stuff.

Today was a huge disappointment. I have been here many times. I’m have always had a great experience. Today I was ashamed. I took a very close friend there ok to have her hot sandwich with cold chicken. I didn’t know what to tell her I was shocked. This was a $10.00 sandwich which was only worth $1.00 . I ordered a sub lol because it was so small you really didn’t know what it was . At $12.00 for it it was extremely expensive and disappointing. Are they cutting corners now if so , I will never come again. When lunch is over $30.00 and you have had gastric bypass surgery and can not eat a lot and you go hungry it’s not acceptable. Even the drink cups were reduced by 1/2 of their size . I can not imagine that cost price has increased to this . I hope management will read my comments but have no explanation. New employees have no idea ♀️ how to fix the sandwich’s that we were getting before. If you plan to visit, and you have been before plan on being very disappointed. McDonalds is a much better option . I can not tell you how embarrassing my experience was with a close friend, I was bragging about this place. Now I feel I’ll never come back

Very nice cafe with delicious sandwiches. The Reuben is fantastic. A friend took me here on my visit to Alta Vista. She works close by and this is her favorite place to lunch. Lots of lighting and seating and a nice little gift shop in the back.

Great Cafe. Wonderful customer service, pleasant atmosphere, food was delicious and priced right. Portion size is pretty good, its not overkill, but you’re getting what you pay for. They have a little gift shop in back where you can buy your baby one of those fancy little ornament bracelets, greeting cards and other ornamental decor. Good place to take your family or wife for lunch. Will definitely be back.

Came in for a wedding for the weekend and sad I only came here once on our short stay. Very cute inside. Looks like it used to be a bank, there’s a cool vault door leading to a room (now to eat). There’s a little shop with nice items to buy. I had the little Italy sandwich with a coffee and it was delicious! Again, I came in on our last day, before going to the airport, and was disappointed we couldn’t try other items on the menu, because they sounded appetizing. Would definitely come back.

On our way through town on a vacation trip, we stopped in for breakfast and I’m so glad we did. In addition to having a friendly and efficient staff, they have what I believe may be the best breakfast sandwich I’ve had in my entire 62-ish years of existence, and I’ve had more than a few sandwiches in lo, those many years. Crispy on the outside, nothing short of creamy cheesy, meaty, eggy deliciousness on the inside. Yes, I know, it was just a breakfast sandwich, but still, it was in-dang-credible and if you don’t try one, well, may God have mercy on your soul. My wife had a peanut butter wrap thingy that she said was great too. I took her word for it. Then of course, we had to try a couple of their cookies. Wow. I needed a cigarette after that and I don’t even smoke.
