I want to offer my thanks—the outright refusal to sub a roll for toast inspired me to walk across the street to Safeway, buy an 89¢ roll, and make my own breakfast pictured here. If they had allowed this sub with whatever up charge they saw fit, I probably would have brought my family here every weekend and stopped by for breakfast regularly on my way to work. Will save a lot of money now. Staff is friendly, atmosphere is great, my only complaint is the wax paper they serve food on leeches dye onto the food. Pointed out the blue checker pattern on my food and they shrugged and said “yeah it happens…” without offering refund. Still using same paper I noticed today, a couple weeks after I pointed this out, although they were apparently already aware and fine with this. Advise you to flip your food over and check for blue dye if you get food here.

The wait is ALWAYS worth it! We have ordered here several times now, usually pick up and did dine-in once. The customer service are REAL people and not your slap-on-smiles hospitality. It feels like a weekend at a family friends place for breakfast when you go inside. The food is spectacular every time. We have a hard time not ordering the chicken and waffles and this time around was no different. We got a loaded grits bowl and added shrimp with over medium eggs and it did not disappoint! The seasoning in everything we’ve had has always been perfect and the amount of food you get is worth every penny. We usually have a 10 minute walk home and it’s still hot by the time we get back. Highly recommend this spot and worth going out of the way for as well!

Soooo good! We searched “food on the way home” from the Mariner’s game. Drae’s Lake Route fit the bill! Hot links n grits, classic fried eggs n bacon with fried taters, and waffles n eggs. The staff were sweet and attentive (not too much!). You definitely need Google maps to find this fantastic food!

Decided to look for a local chicken & waffles spot, found Drae’s so decided to try them out. Got there just before the dining room closed but the staff still made sure we were taken care of! The Montana potatoes was amazing, the shrimp & grits is phenomenal, and the bacon waffle? It’s all in the name, decadent and delicious.

Amazing food! Best chicken waffles I’ve ever had! If you’re not sure what to get, I recommend the spicy chicken and waffles sliders! It comes with a mouthwatering aioli that makes me can’t stop eating

We’ve been here before, the food is always very tasty. The spicy chicken strips aren’t very spicy but still nice, juicy and flavorful. Highly recommend for southern comfort food.

First time coming here, the inside is a cute set up. They had santa hats on the chairs. The two guys working there (that I saw), we’re very nice. I ordered the bacon waffle, wings and the Mac and cheese. All three were good. The people that came in seemed to be regulars and had funny back and forth the the two guys. Over all nice place and good food.
