Had to repeat our order like 3x. Why I don’t know. Regardless won’t be coming here again. Eggs are gross, Mexican places don’t use powdered eggs so easily a 1 star place. Looking at the plates that have been left on other tables (for a good while) everyone is leaving the eggs.

I have been coming to this place since I was 16 , I’m 31 now. I will forever love the food!!!! My favorite is the carne guisada plate, and the tortillas here are the best I’ve ever had in the city hands down. The staff is extremely friendly and patient, they always offer extra things to make for a better experience such as napkins, salsa, and utensils. They also sell different random treats by the register, which is always nice.

I have to say, the food was pretty bad… I got the frijoles breakfast (3 pancakes, 2 eggs, 3 bacon); the pancakes were mushy, the eggs were alright but strangely oily, bacon tasted like it had freezer burn. My spouse got the Mexican plate, and the beans were decent but the enchiladas were super bland, the tortillas had an odd texture and consistency for a flour tortilla, and the rice was pretty bland and crumbly and broken up. The taco was okay at best, but I can’t ever say I’d ever recommend the food here. No hate to the people who work here, but this is a place to experience maybe once at most and never come back to again.

Whoever answers the phone needs to work on their customer service skills… when I place a call anywhere I always start with hi how are you doing today, instead of answering the question I was told how can I help you. I stated I had asked how are you doing today? I was told sir how can I help you. I understand people get busy but you are in the customer service industry and if you aren’t comfortable with being on the phone and answering casual questions you should be on the grill or on the dishes.

Frijoles was an average restaurant. The service and place is great and so is the price. The food is kinda like fast food style. I’ll go back though.

If you’re using a debit card it has to be 5$ or more. Migas has no flavor it doesn’t come with the onions, cheese or anything else It’s just plain and you have to pay for everything else to be added which I’m not used to. I also bought chorizo and papas but it was all papas and very little chorizo. The ladies in the front are nice and the prices are ok for the tacos.

I have been going here for years. This is the only place in my opinion for the best breakfast tacos. Especially for the best carne guisada tacos. Our youngest son will always know that his tacos came from here. How he knows I have no idea. That right there tells you that their food is the best and authentic.

The food is reheated from the tin to a microwave. The eggs were made to order only because I asked for Over Easy–I had the bacon and egg plate. The tortillas were good to include the beans, but the country potatoes were old and overcooked. The bacon was okay, and the orange juice came from a bottle. The cook threw the silverware onto the tray and didn’t wrap them in a napkin. The food was reasonable, but I am concerned about their kitchen cleanliness. I stopped here only because I was really, really hungry. Today, I have diarrhea, and I retraced my steps back to this place. Evidently, my stomach is not tough anymore. I would eat here again as an experiment .

Quick service, only because the food is already prepared. Decent food. Beans and flour tortillas are great. Great job! Food wasn’t hot. This is helpful advice for the business. You could be so much better. #1 Make food to order that way the quality of the food and temperature is corrected and met #2 Professionalism is key; dont speak of politics. But overall it was ok. I enjoyed the 50’s music. Cleanliness is what I found most appealing.
