Genuinely think this is the best hole in the wall Vietnamese spot in the city. very reasonable pricing for a beautifully plated meal — vermicelli noodle bowl was fragrant and packed w herbs and paired with an incredible fish sauce, pork was marinated and grilled to perfection.

great pho and banh mi! the pho was not salty at all and we could combo any meat cuts we wanted so you don’t have to stick to the menu. the meat cuts were delicious, very fresh, and flavorful. large serving size of bean sprouts and herbs on the side. id pass on the spring rolls and go straight for the pho and banh mi. so far, my fave bowl of pho in dc proper.

As I sit here with a full stomach and very satisfied I am writing this review. I couldn’t even wait to leave before I had to tell everyone how amazing this food here is. This was my first time coming here and I guarantee it won’t be my last!

Pho 72 is awesome – this is my new go to spot. Amazing service – bobby will take good care of you. This is a family run restaurant, all recipes from mama Lee.

We tried Pho 72 for the first time with my family today for lunch. We ordered the Pho 72, Vermicelli 72, banh mi combo, spring rolls and summer rolls.

First time trying the place out. The pho was really good, not too oily and was flavorful. I also ordered the chicken dumplings and viet iced coffee. I was a bit confused why they put some of the meat in the broth because usually they have meat on the side but they had some meat in the broth and some in the noodle container. When taking the meat out the there wasn’t as much broth as expected but decent for the price and similar to other places I’ve tried. The dumplings were delicious, the viet coffee was a bit thick, maybe a bit to much condensed milk? but still good. Would recommend giving them a try if you’re in the area!

Good service, but I should have only ordered what the restaurant is named: Pho.

I moved to DC for the summer and always miss traditional Vietnamese meals. I came here because it was the closest Viet restaurant to me at the time and each time I’ve ordered from here I am so impressed at the food. HITS THE SPOT EVERY TIME. Family own restaurant, amazing service and really really good food!

Delicious and hot on a cold winter day, this hits the spot! Service was super fast and friendly too! Broth is a little on the salty side but OOOOF it’s totally worth it.

Amazing restaurant! Food is always great, and the banh mi is particularly delicious (with perfectly toasted bread and great pate). Highly recommend for a decently priced Vietnamese restaurant in DC proper.
