We’ve been going to The Stamm House on the west side for a few years, recently we learned that the main chef left to open this restaurant in Monona so we now come here instead. In our opinion this is one of the best Italian restaurants in the Madison metropolitan area, now I’m not talking about fancy silverware or interesting architecture, I’m talking about the food itself. Personally I feel the chef really knows what they’re doing, every dish has their own unique taste and texture, it’s also consistent. We asked about food allergies and they’re also very good at informing us on what’s okay/not okay to eat, my guess is again the chef knows what they’re doing. 10 out of 10, we really like this place.

We enjoyed our meal tonight! Warm bread to dip in olive oil and balsamic to start! Then we ordered the arancini (generous portion of 3). I ordered the fratelli’s pasta which had mushrooms, steak, fresh tricolor pasta. My husband enjoyed the squid ink pasta!

First visit to this new restaurant where Angelo’s used to be in Monona and it’s much better than its predecessor. We stopped in around eight on a Monday night and it was not busy. Not a dramatic remodel from before, but was very clean and well lit – it felt more welcoming and current.

Cute little place! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was excellent and at a reasonable price. There was an issue (unknown) at a table near us and the server and someone else (chef, owner?) were very polite and did what they could to correct it. I hope this place stays and makes a go of it 🙂

6 of us and every dish was unique and special. Amazing staff helped us celebrate a birthday in style. Gourmet elegance at reasonable prices. Please patronize this place! It was quiet on a Friday night and had no reason to be!?

Went here for dinner with my family, and it did not disappoint. This new restaurant had great drinks—the bourbon smash, Wisconsin old fashioned (pictured), and the pineapple truada all are must haves. The food was delicious; we had the calamari as an appetizer, and I had the Fettuccini Tricolre (pictured). The staff was very accommodating and friendly, and the food and drinks were very reasonably priced. I highly recommend checking out this place for date night or going out to eat with the family.

We’re told they don’t answer their voice mail, so we didn’t have the reservation we made via phone. The food was served luke warm and the salami antipasto was brown and disgusting.

We found a little gem in Fratellis in Monona. I highly recommend this place. It’s in the old Angelo’s, and made it their own. Awesome servers, bartenders, and delicious food. Looking forward to returning to this wonderful little restaurant. I can’t tell you how wonderful the servers were. And my brandy old fashion sweet was perfect .
