Small, hole in the wall type restaurant, which is exactly what you’d expect with a good Chinese place. Food wasn’t overly spiced or flavored, but it was cooked perfectly and made fresh. Pork fried rice however is amazing.

We stopped here on our way through Mathews, after learning there would be at least an hour wait at Richardson’s Cafe. So glad we ended up at Shun Xing instead! The people were so genuinely nice and friendly, and everything we ordered tasted very fresh. Best service we’ve had anywhere in a really long time. Wish we lived nearby so we could go back all the time!

My family loves Shun Xing! The food is ALWAYS delicious, service is fast and the staff is absolutely top notch. My family likes to try a new dish every time we go, and we are always happy we did! Can’t recommend this place enough, hands down my favorite takeout in Mathews.

Great Chinese. Not very appealing on the inside. However, what makes this a great place to order is the slightly different taste of the food. Not your traditional spices like most Chinese, but more of the mom/pop variety. They seem to make sure the food is prepared with a personal touch with an ample serving of the order. Feel free to order without worrying about the final products.

Lady answering phone is uber friendly. The food is brought to you fast and hot. Great balance of meat and veggies. The lunch special is great for $6.25. Lovely egg foo young. Egg rolls a lil under done. Hopefully it will be corrected.

Exactly what you’d expect from an Americanized Chinese take-out joint – and that’s great! The food tastes exactly like you would expect it to, and that is great for picky eaters from out of town. The owners are very nice, and there is parking set aside just for the restaurant.
