We are a proud family-owned and operated business serving authentic gourmet Venezuelan cuisine. Back in 2014, with the desire to share our family’s authentic recipes & latin flavors with the local community, Arepa Culture, the ORIGINAL arepa food truck of the Triangle was born! Since then, we’ve expanded into our very first fast casual brick-and-mortar location in Raleigh, NC.
We specialize in serving authentic Arepas, a staple food in Venezuela – a 100% gluten-free white cornmeal “bread” that we handcraft, grill and generously fill with a variety of our delicious, healthy ingredients. Our restaurant’s menu offers a variety of other 100% gluten-free items such as Venezuelan cachapas, bowls, sides, house-made juices, desserts & more!
Classic Venezuelan eats like corn cakes & flan presented in a casual, glass-enclosed counter-serve. Based on 409 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.5 stars. Price $

First learned about Arepa Culture at the WRAL Voters’ Choice Awards. Love their flavorful pulled pork. Lots of outdoor seating and lovely fresh juice. Looking forward to eating here more often.

Delicious! The arepas and cachapra were so good! I had the bbq and my friend got the shrimp, then we just got the cachapra. The cachapra was sweet and really good. The sauces are also great and the drinks. Cute place, great for lunch or dinner.

We had tickets to go to the Lego Expo and wanted to have dinner afterward. I did a quick search on Google at close places. As I looked through the pics, I remember seeing the food truck somewhere and remember wanting to try the food. We got there and were ready to order, and the power went out in the whole strip mall. The staff quickly reacted to shift to iPad payment, and there was hot food ready to put together. Luckily, the power came back on in less than 10 mins. We all got something different and tried all of it. We had areas – La Tica, La Peula, and the ham/cheese. They were all delicious! Think our favorite was the beef. Also, we got a Cachapa with beef. I read cornbread, but I wasn’t expecting the sweetness. Oh my! The sweet of the cachapa combined with the beef and cheese was a lovely flavor combo. I had some with some without the homemade hot sauce. The hot/sweet combo worked really well, too. They also make a Cilantro sauce and tyoe of Venezuelan sour cream that you must try. The fried plantains were a good dessert! The homemade juices were delicious. When I learned how they are made in house, I felt my hips grow… but I don’t care… so good! They staff were amazing! Extremely friendly, answered all the questions and gave us helpful info as we ordered. Great experience!

when looking online for places to eat in raleigh, i came across this place and definitely wanted to try it out. my friend and i went there and got the cachapas – regular and beef toppings – as well as arepas – cheese, salmon and other flavors. i also got a side of sweet plantains. overall the food was good but both of us preferred the cachapas to the arepas – the cachapas had better flavor and the taste with the toppings was outstanding. the arepas were good but needed the sauces and the topics to enhance the flavor

So fun to come to 100% gluten free places!! When we have choices from the whole menu and don’t have to worry about getting sick is so worth the drive! Plus we love Arepas and these did not disappoint!! So yummy!! Fresca was delicious and plantains weren’t bad either. Excellent food!

I had the pleasure of eating from their food truck, at an event I was working. I got the La Tica and La Pelua arepas. They were soooo good! The meat was tender, flavorful and juicy. The arepas were soft and freshly made. I wish I lived closer; I’d be here at least 3-4 days a week. The employees were gracious and humble. If you haven’t tried this place, it’s a MUST!!! I only have a pic of the La Tica because I inhaled the La Pelua before I realized a pic would be helpful to some. UPDATE: I was fortunate to have another event in Raleigh on Thursday, 6/15/23. I made it a point to visit the brick and mortar location (30 mins in the opposite direction of home) and was not disappointed!! I was surprised to find that not many people were there, at 6 PM. Folks in the area are missing out! I did get pics of the La Pelua this time. I’ve shared it for your viewing enjoyment.

Great place for lunch, two of us shared 3 arepas and they were super good with the cilantro salsa. Every bite was flavorful, not spicy for those who don’t need that. They have hot arepas and cold stuffing ones. Prices are excellent. Unfortunately, we ate so fast we forgot to take pictures, except the no wait line on a Monday (Memorial Day) at lunch. Plenty of Venezuelans were inside eating too.

Fantastic and made from scratch. The Arepa are perfect for one person. Definitely loved the traditional cachapa too. The Fress soda soda was a fancier cream soda. Delicious

This was my first time trying a cachapa and I loved it. Tasted like a sweet, delicious cornbread…loaded with cheese. The arepa itself was pretty bland but the fillings were tasty. Our favorite meat was the chicken tinga, second favorite was the pulled pork, least favorite was the shredded beef (found that one a bit too salty). The hot sauces were both tasty too and not too spicy. I tasted all of the agua frescas and they were all tasty but the limeade was my favorite…more tangy and complex than the others. Sweet plaintains were tasty as always. We enjoyed the Latin music in there too

Great food, great service! This was my first time at Arepa Culture, and the staff was very helpful in determining menu items for my dietary restrictions. When I got home I thought I was missing one of my orders and the lady I spoke with when I called was very helpful in investigating the issue. Turns out it was my error (since it was my first time, I wasn’t aware of how the food was packaged and how many arepas came in each order), but the staff was very thorough and helpful in my concern. Will definitely be going there again! The food was delicious!
