The rewards machine has not worked in over a year, difficulty keeping staff it seems. Oven has been broken a few times I’ve stopped. Each time I order 8 pieces of bread because my autistic son loves the bread. Now apon ordering they did not tell me they had no butter. I feel like to spite every other issue they have this would be something to mention. He simply curtly said use the soup. Well I did not buy 8 pieces of bread for a tiny bowl of soup. Also this time usually the food is super fresh but this time the veggies tasted hard or raw. So your mileage may vary but my prediction is if they do not step up this place it will go under for as much as they charge.

Kitty and Izzy were OUTSTANDING!!! We were soooo excited to see a Zoup! in Portage, MI; we couldn’t wait to go there. They’re CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS OUTSTANDING and the food was/IS FANTASTIC! This was my first time coming here and I can say without a doubt the food was better than I expected you can tell it’s made fresh, they let you sample soups before you eat it which you don’t see very often. I was very impressed with the food, the speed of the service and overall quality of the experience. I will definitely be coming back!

i used to work here. i went in today because i hadn’t had any since i quit 4 months ago and wanted to see how it was doing. well, for one it’s short staffed; took 20 minutes to make a simple pesto grilled cheese and pour a bowl of soup. when i got my order i noticed that there was only one slice of cheese on the pesto, when it comes with 3 different cheeses, and no tomatoes! I could tell they let the soup cook, not stay warm, cook, because of how chunky it was. also, i wouldn’t recommend eating here too much. guessing how short staffed it is and how terrible the quality of my food was, they’re still keeping everything frozen and using old food.

Posting this under an alias but I was hired here and told I would be contacted in the next few days to discuss my schedule and they had forgotten about me. How do you hire someone, forget to call/ text them and make me do all the leg work of trying to call you and ask when you wanted me to start. When I finally got the hiring manager on the phone I told him I would not work there as they set the pace for how it would be to work there. I should’ve left when he told me red flag #1, he said they recently fired 15 employees because they were all stealing from each other. The food is decent and has a lot of potential but it seems the owners just don’t care about this place. Shame.

Went for an online order and when I asked for it, the man at the counter literally turned around without saying a word and went back to working. I assumed they hadn’t gotten my order or something and maybe he had just started working on it (even though it was placed 10+ minutes prior).

It has been reported by staff that all items come in frozen, yet they tell customers the food is made fresh. I’ve never seen the owner at this store or any of his other 19 properties, but from what the workers have said, the owner is exploitative and treats his employees poorly. It sounds like he sets his teams up for failure, so I am not surprised to see so many low reviews.
