Feel special at this elegant restaurant. The 1937 burger was to die for. Peach gazpacho was interesting and delicious. Rabbit was delicious. Kid’s menu was befitting of the location (The kid’s steak was great) Great Cocktails too. Worth the splurge!

This is a Restaurant in the heart of the Colonial Williamsburg at the Williamsburg Inn, with a long history of serving a variety of Foods, including some period-specific Cuisines. While the atmosphere was wonderful and the Waitstaff professional and courteous… the Food was disappointingly bland & mediocre. My Vegetarian Wife was underwhelmed with her usually well-received the Soup & her Potatoes au Gratin meal, which resembled an Over-microwaved Lasagna. I thought my Brisket & Rib Burger with Bacon & Brie would be outstanding. It wasn’t. The best thing out if a $120 Dinner for 2 was the Truffle-Parmesan French Fries. Can’t win them all…

Unimpressed with the entire experience. Our waitress was probably one of the most unprofessional wait staffer I have dealt with in a long time, which instantly shocked me and then set the tone for the evening. They were not busy at all, however was waiting forever for plates to be moved and a check. I don’t think I was asked a single time if I needed another drink. The food came out fairly quick, but the pork chop had no flavor at all. The wife seemed to enjoy the salmon. Overall for a $200 check, it was such a disappoint.

“Up to par”. Delicious cocktails, old school service. Menu a little tame. With so many resources – price point, local produce – would love to see the culinary muscles flexed a little! Nice patio.

The staff were amazing! They were very kind and respectful throughout our whole meal! Our meal was delicious and satiating! The only thing that wasn’t great was that I put that my wife and I are dairy free and they served bread with butter then informed me after that it had butter on it. I have a few cramps and feeling pretty gross but overall it was a great experience!

Disappointing. My husband and I ate here with a friend the other night. The quality of the ingredients seemed to be very good and fresh. And the quantities were more than sufficient. But we found all our dishes to be over seasoned. Oysters on the half shell, for instance, should be the essence of the sea. Instead ours were so coated with gritty spices that we couldn’t taste the oysters at all. I had the pork tenderloin which was moist but had slightly odd taste, something it had been marinated in perhaps? The maple mustard sauce was way too sweet. The generous serving of brussel sprouts and carrots that accompanied the pork were both good. The best part of the meal were the glasses of wine which were poured at the table without giving us tastes to make sure it was okay first-fortunately both wines we tried were. For the price, and seeing that it had a 4.6/5 rating on Open Table, we felt this restaurant fell well short of its obvious aspirations.

We had an amazing dinner last Friday night! We ordered many things but our favorites were the brussel sprouts, truffle fries, steak, and the best thing was the special dish with steak and scallops. Trevon was our server, he was helpful, kind, and attentive. Next time we are in the area it will be a must to go back!! Food was amazing and one of the best dinners I have had in months.

This review is for the “Restoration Bar” which is the hotel’s bar at the entrance of the Terrace Room. It’s not a large area, but boy does it make up for it in terms of luxury. It was early on a January evening and already quite full. Mainly because it is just a small spot. We just grabbed seats at the bar and enjoyed watching the bartender in action. I went ahead and ordered the “Inn’s Ginn & Tonic” which was their take on a G&T. Wow, it was fantastic! Refreshing. Crisp. Perfect. The ingredients: Bombay Sapphire Gin, Lavender Bitters, Cucumber, Rosemary, Juniper, Lime, Lemon. It is now highly recommended by me.

We had such an amazing time!! Drinks (an Old Fashioned and a Riesling), dinner (New York strip and seasoned game hen), and dessert (cherry cheesecake and creme brulee) were all absolutely phenomenal and the ambience was superb! Trayvon was an exceptional server and everyone there made our anniversary dinner a lovely experience. Definitely a must while in Williamsburg!
