Always wonderful whether you want sushi or hibachi staff is kind quick and the food is always magnificent I recommend eating on the sushi side as you can always order whatever you want for a quieter more intimate atmosphere. This time I got the katsudon with fried rice and it was wonderful easily two or three meals worth for me

I don’t like to post fair experiences but wasn’t impressed. My shoes stuck to the wood floor. Ordered sushi. Presentation was good and sushi was average. At $16.00/small roll, questioned value. Thiacoon in downtown Marietta hails in comparison. Twice the size, fresher ingredients and experienced sushi chef. Hope they raise the bar.

Under new management! I hadn’t been to Asahi in about a year. Upon our return, we were so glad to see Kevin and “Sue” are the managers (since the 1st week of December)! The food is still great and the prices are good.

We were rushed for a birthday dinner. It was sort of rude to get a comment about how people are waiting for the table before we were even able to get our checks to pay. I highly suggest some training on customer service. We were waiting on checks. Go get after your servers, not us. Plus, we were not even taking long or camping. We were ready to go but your server wasn’t.

We went to Asahi Japanese Steak & Sushi for a friend’s birthday dinner. It was your typical Japanese hibachi grill show and food. I had the teriyaki salmon and my husband had the New York steak. Our entrées included screamed rice, salad, soup, vegetables, and rainbow sherbet. The food was good, the show was good and it was a nice dinner party. They sang “happy birthday” to my friend and that involved a gong so it was a little loud. The parties in adjacent rooms were also celebrating birthdays so we heard the singing and the gong multiple times throughout our dinner.

This place is always top quality food. Pictures in the bowl is their volcano roll, my favorite. Crabstick, avocado, and cream cheese topped with shredded crab mixed with spicy mayo. In the other picture is their Crazy Salmon Roll (Left) and asahi special roll (Right.) They put a lot of time and effort into making each roll amazing. My only gripe is the waiters always seem to take their time, especially once you are done with your food and need the check. The food, however, was so good that I went back and got the same thing 2 nights in a row. If you don’t mind the rolls being on average $11+, it is a fantastic choice and you cannot go wrong.
