Love Maya Palenque and have for now over 30 years. Upbeat at times loud (in a good way) atmosphere, usually no wait. Great service. Plenty of parking in lot or on street but gets busy on Thursday-Saturday as expected. Cocktails are decent, solid selection. Outdoor patio dining great for nice weather. Large bar inside, wonderful bartenders who are fast, attentive and knowledgeable. My go-to order is crispy chicken tacos but I’ve tried almost everything on the menu and the choices are typical but food tastes great and portions won’t leave you hungry after dinner.

This place has been here for about 20 years really good Mexican food right alongside the freeway 101 in Ignacio. The food was not as spicy as I like but most Mexican American restaurants are that way. The atmosphere is fantastic the bartender was great really nice guy to talk to always made sure we were taken care of. The food came out hot a lot of food for the price I was definitely pleased and will definitely go back.

This is my first time visiting Maya Palenque and I’m upset that I didn’t do it sooner. This place is great, it is super friendly, the appetizers we had were good and the drinks were flavorful. I will be visiting again and I’ll be recommending it too.

My daughters name is Maya so went for the experience of having her name on a restaurant. 1st impressions was that the place needed some cleaning, floor seemed dirty and the chairs had velvet covers and attracted a lot of lint, dirt and other stuff. Salsa was ok, the red one was super salty and the green one was good. I ordered the tropical pork and the Maya Palenque margarita. I very much enjoyed my margarita and my meal was delicious. My family didn’t like their meal very much, the nachos were not that appetizing, cheese was cold, I would go back for drinks and skip the meal, I also thought is was weird they charged for tortillas that went with a meal. Overall not that impressed.

We always seem to end up here for super special date days for my hubby and me. That day was no different. Great food, great drinks, and great service, every time! The atmosphere is perfect for our personalities. We were a little bummed that the back deck was rented for a party, but that was fine, we enjoyed seeing others having fun! Oh, and I LOVE the artwork!

House margarita had a slightly novel flavor to it. I didn’t love it, but the last one I had was Chevy’s so maybe I was searching for too much sweetness. However, the calamari was one of the best I have ever had — order it. The tortilla soup was solid.
