This is hands down one of the best experiences I’ve ever had! I was checking out the area and was looking for a place that was local. Seeing the menu on line “Da Big Nasty” burger caught my eye. When I got in I was immediately greeted at the bar by the manager Jason and the bartender (I believe Ashley). They were both so welcoming and inviting thanking me for choosing to come in there. You could definitely tell that they appreciate your business. While it wasn’t extremely busy you can tell there was some locals at the bar. I ordered the burger and you would have thought most everyone in there was excited for me to try it. I’m certainly glad I did! The burger itself was huge. I managed to eat all of it but I couldn’t finish the rest of the chili and potato tots. Everything about the burger was delicious! This is a must-stop if you’re ever in the Gastonia area. They will treat you like you’ve been coming there your entire life. I will certainly be back soon! Thank you to Jason and the team for your hospitality!

The best wings I’ve ever had in my entire life. Jason is outstanding and gave us the low down on all of their sauces. Our first round of wings were the Whiskey Wet. They were incredible. Had a nice sweet and tangy taste to them, much like the traditional NC yellow bbq sauces you can find. My son liked them, but wanted something hotter and spicier. He decided to go with the Hot and he said they were incredible. They came with jalapeño peppers and cayenne pepper sprinkled on them. He loves wings and really loves our home town wing place, but he said these might have topped that. On top of the great flavor, the wings are absolutely huge. I’m a big dude and I was stuffed after about 12 wings.

My wife, sister-in-law and I went here for lunch. We came down from North Charlotte and it was our first time. The food was great. I had the southwest egg rolls and they were perfect. They came out hot and had a nice but not overpowering kick. The others had mushroom Swiss burgers that they said were perfectly cooked and were very fresh. The thing they liked most were the beer battered onion rings. I had a couple and they were awesome. We each had a beer or two and they were fresh and very welcomed on a hot day. We do not come to Gastonia very often but will come down for the food at The Whiskey Mill more often.

Me and hubby came here on Father’s Day evening to step out for the night, nice night to step out, why not. We thought to come here and have a drink and enjoy the night. Absolute best choice! Not too far from our residence which was convenient. Drinks were great and the manager Jason was very professional and nice as this was our first time being at Whiskey Mill since it’s been here. We remember the location being a former Pizza Hut that brought back childhood memories! Throwback! The manager Jason was very pleasant, he welcomed us and even provided 3 samples of their top wing sauces before we ordered, very personable with the customers and overall a great representation of Whiskey Mill. Great experience and our waitress was nice as well, Catlina. 5 stars wish I could give more than 5! Clean place, atmosphere was inviting and we will be coming back! Thank you Jason and your staff!

Cool place. Don’t think the server wanted to be there. Took a long time for a beer and water refills. Wings “ok” all they did was fry them and dump hot sauce on them so not a great wing bar. Had the buzzard stick. Ok as well. It was our destination with friends on our motorcycles and we had to wear helmets for a mediocre experience.

Very noisy atmosphere and food was terrible. I had the Redneck Reuben Burger that was supposed to have Sauerkraut and chili and was far from that. It was a patty that resembled a sonic burger with no toppings to include nothing but maybe some sauce rubbed on bun and bun was smashed upon receiving. I would recommend a hamburger/food at a gas station before having a meal here.

Great pub with a laid back vibe! Refreshing to be in an establishment where the staff seem to enjoy their jobs and take care of both new and regular patrons. We have tried the burgers, wings and several appetizers and have not been disappointed! Southwest rolls, mozzarella sticks, the buzzard on a stick and deep fried green beans are favorites.
