Truly 5 stars all around. The absolute best shrimp and grits I have had anywhere, and I’ve had shrimp n grits from Louisiana, Texas, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, all over Georgia and Alabama, Florida you name it. Hands down the best. Also the jambalaya my wife had was better than any I’ve ever tasted. We try cajun cooking wherever we go and this little gem did not disappoint. Chef came out to meet us talk about future dishes and tge waitress was 10 stars, all the way. Good price too!

Stopped by on a whim and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Had the blackened catfish PoBoy and it was perfectly seasoned, tender, and tasted great. My son had the kids cheeseburger and really enjoyed. We both agreed we have to come back

Let’s get this out of the way. This is not New Orleans and you can’t compare to them. The portion sizes are not the same for the prices. This is a good place to eat. I got the Fried Shrimp Po Boy, French Fries, Abita Root Beer, and a White Chocolate Bread Pudding to go. The food was good and I will visit again. The atmosphere is really nice. And I do recommend, but again I and you can’t compare it overall to New Orleans.

I got a blackened shrimp poboy that was nothing to brag about a salad that looked like a box of lettuce and they absolutely no fried food period even though they advertise.

The po’boys were fantastic and packed with a myriad of flavors in every bite. The jambalaya and gumbo had a rich smokey quality reminiscent of southern barbecue meets classic Nola cuisine. The bread pudding was decadently sweet. Little too sweet for my taste but still delicious. The staff was super friendly and welcoming and the restaurant offered a comfy casual atmosphere. Will definitely make a return trip to Gurley to try more of their offerings.

This place was really impressive, especially for its out-of-the-way location.

This place is the real deal. Delicious and authentic Cajun fare right in the middle of Madison County in Gurley on 72E. This was our first time here, so we ordered a variety of food items. The oyster basket with corn salad was delicious. The tartar sauce was unlike any I’ve ever had. It was kinda almost like a slaw imo. We had a bowl of the red beans and rice, chicken gumbo, and jambalaya. All were spot on incredible. The gumbo was absolutely the best we’ve ever had. It had a delicious thick rich dark roux. The chef (owner) himself brought us our food. Very nice talking to him. He talked us into the white chocolate bread pudding which we took to go. Wish we would have bought two! Will be making the short drive to Gurley from Huntsville often!

After a quick google search of new restaurants near me, we stumbled upon this gem of authentic New Orleans cuisine. Chef Brian and his crew have recreated the taste and feel that can only be found in NOLA, where food and culture are blended wonderfully together. The Poboys are spot on, as well as the golden brown French fries with SMOKED ketchup! (Yes, you HAVE to try the smoked ketchup) We left full, satisfied, and with a renewed desire to once again make the trip to the historic French Quarter. That’s the magic of good food!

Food was awesome and the service was too! I wish I could remember the name of our waitress because she was so nice and gave us the best service. We got blackened chicken pasta, gumbo, and the pork loin and it was all amazing. The bread pudding is a hit too!

So very good. Shrimp PoBoy, slaw and corn salad. Shrimp was perfect, large and lightly battered. The bread was lightly toasted (crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside). Corn salad was phenomenal.
