Freda’s, a family owned and operated full-service restaurant opened on
Thursday, January 22, 1987, in the midst of a major snowstorm.
Going on 36 years of business, we’ve seen the best of times and the worst of times, and have managed to persevere with the help of our wonderful employees.
Our continued success can also be attributed to our many loyal customers who consider Freda’s their home away from home.
Set back off the road in a residential neighborhood, Freda’s is the kind of place that you can catch up with old friends and make some new.
Steve’s goal is to offer quality, casual gourmet at affordable prices,
served by our friendly wait staff.
Based on 312 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.5 stars. Price $$

Visited Sunday 5:30p for a cocktail. First visit and I like the atmosphere. I didn’t have the food but will visit again and have food. The Banana Bread cocktail was delicious.

Had my dad’s celebration of life gathering after his funeral. Have been to many family and friends gatherings thru-out the years. The French dip sandwich has always been my favorite. The pizza is the best

Food was good and our waitress was great. But it was so loud, we could hardly talk! We originally were given a table near the bar but asked to be moved because we couldn’t hear each other. Even moving to the other end of the restaurant (it is small) it was still noisy. Maybe this was an odd night, but not planning on going back. Really cute, local kind of restaurant, if you don’t care how loud it is.

Freda’s in West Bridgewater. Robin made a great Banana Martini. I had the burger that was very tasty and my husband had the prime rib that melted in your mouth!

Great family owned restaurant, with homey decor. Food was made fresh to order and the cook himself came over to see if I was enjoying my food (Shrimp Scampi). Fabulous service with great prices. The chocolate tart was delicious and highly recommended for all the chocolate lovers out there.

It has been forever since I had been here. It is an older establishment, dated, but clean. The waitress was fantastic! Very friendly, checked on us just the right amount of times. The food was delicious. We got fried green beans, muscles, and pasta with spinach, black olives, tomatoes, garlic, and feta, and a side salad (both the vinaigrette and the ranch were very good).

Freda’s is a true hidden gem. This family owned business has been around for 36 years. Best “South Shore Bar Pizza” around. Also worth noting their prime rib and French onion soup! Whether you are just down the road or have to plan a trip, you will never be disappointed!
