My 2 sons (14 and 8 yo) and I had an impromptu lunch here. My youngest son is a very picky eater, and once he had a taste of the Mac n cheese, he proclaimed it to be the best he ever had! We tried the brisket, ribs and chicken combo, a pulled pork sandwich with fries as well. Every bite was amazing! Service was also fantastic. This place stands up to any large BBQ place that you might find elsewhere. Prices are great as well. We also met the manager and she was lovely! I plan to make this a regular for our family.

I’m not one to normally write reviews, but when you see a small business striving to do their best I know reviews always help. The food here is fantastic, some of the greatest barbecue I’ve had on Long Island. The staff is always super friendly, assistant manager of the location treats the restaurant like it’s his own. He goes out of the way to be friendly and make sure you get/have everything you need to make your meal worth 5 Stars. Great job!

Paid $30 for a “family size” fries. When arrived to pick up the guy was more interested in his FaceTime call with his girlfriend than he was with us. Quickly put together the fries. Only filled the container half way, equivalent to 2 large fries from McDonald’s. They were cold and soggy.

Food isn’t the greatest. I’m going to assume that it’s a chain because the mac and cheese and beans look and taste like they came out of a box and a can. The gentlemen working there were very nice, but I personally wouldn’t go back. The pulled pork sandwich was cold cheese wasn’t melted, onion was raw, just not it.

I stopped in a few weeks ago for lunch. It was my first time there and I was having a busy day. The menu was explained to me which was super helpful. As soon as I sat down, I had to take care of something for work. My food was brought to me and was sitting on the table as I took care of what I needed to. The gentleman behind the counter took notice, and put my lunch in a heater to keep it warm until I was ready. I was very impressed by that act of kindness and that’s why I decided to go back today. I’m a Sales Manager and travel all over Suffolk County. Not only is the food outstanding, but the service and friendliness is how I’ll make this my staple place to visit, everytime I’m in the Hauppague area.

I tried Dickey’s this afternoon and was blown away. They did not disappoint. A group of us got ribs, pulled pork, sausage and brisket. Each meal had French fries and you get a drink as well. The French fries were seasoned perfectly the meat was tender and soooo flavorful. The ribs literally fell off the bone and the brisket was tender and cooked well. Everything was so delicious and we can’t wait to visit them again!

I’ve been to other Dickey’s locations and the food was great. This location (Happague) was a disappointment. Got a 2 meat plate. The brisket was almost all fat and barely any meat. The ribs were dry. The corn muffin had dried, hard corn kernels in it. The sides, Mac and cheese and green beans, were less horrible, but not great. Maybe it’s because I went towards the end of the day on a Sunday? The food prep area also looked really messy/dirty. The people that worked there were friendly, which is why I gave two stars instead of one. I was really excited to try this location, but the food was so bad I wouldn’t go back again.

If you’re looking for delicious and authentic BBQ, Dickey’s BBQ Pit is the way to go! I had the pleasure of trying their brisket and ribs and was blown away by how tender and flavorful they were. The sides were also amazing, from the creamy mac and cheese to the tangy coleslaw. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is clean and cozy. Overall, I highly recommend Dickey’s BBQ Pit for a fantastic BBQ dining experience!

Great staff, super friendly. The food was delicious and fresh. The Charcoal barbecues outside was a nice touch to the experience. They let you sample the food before you make your choices. The brisket was amazing.

Unfortunately I can’t rate it more than 5 stars. John was extremely welcoming he recommended the brisket burger combo, which was delicious. Gave me a sauce on the side to try and I loved it (I hate barbecue sauce and mustard but he somehow made me like it)
