Good place and cheap food, been going here on and off for a couple of years. Definitely a go to spot for donuts in the morning, and a great place for a quick cheap snack.

Uhh, wow. I can’t believe this place has so many good reviews. I moved up the street from this place about 8 months ago and finally I needed something super fast to eat. I was working from home and between meetings so I walked past and thought why not. It can’t be that bad. The selection was pretty small for a Chinese takeout perspective. I took it home, took a couple of bites of everything and threw it in the trash. The chicken was more gelatinous than solid, the egg rolls were weird and chow mien was probably the worst I’ve ever had. I rarely leave such negative reviews. I get it, this place is just a quick food joint but at least it should have some of the texture of real food. There’s plenty of other options around. Maybe the donuts in this one is great but the take out is to be avoided.

This place does high volume business, so the Chinese food, although from a steam table, seems fresh. The doughnuts are not. If you go there, the egg fu yung is good but pricey. The other dumplings I’m not so impressed with. You can ask for steamed or fried rice or chow mein with your 1, 2 or 3 choices. Its hot n sour soup is tasty, but after the lunch rush, it may run out. The woman behind the counter is affable if not able to throw the homeless bums out.

This Chinese-style restaurant is not the best with its food or price. I am currently visiting San Fran for a school field trip and as a result of no time in our hands we went to the first Chinese restaurant we could find. As a result were completely unsatisfied with the quality of the food, because it was very dull and uncooked making the orange chicken be completely grotesque.

Egg Foo Young is my favorite. There aren’t many places to grab Chinese food at 7am. Always people coming in so you know it’s good. True Chinese goodness…and donuts too.

It’s so good. First of all, it’s cheap. We all love cheap stuff for good food so that’s why I’m rating it a 5 star.
