Our first time here. Bonus: we could make a reservation online for 2 people. We ordered the calamari. It was just ok. A bit rubbery. The house salads were good sized and tasted good. Our entrees, a baked manicotti and the pasta mia with scallops, shrimp and cheese filled ravioli in a lobster sauce were both excellent. Servings are still large, but not huge troughs like it was in the Lo Sole days. And that’s good! Only one extra meal.

It was a really nice dining experience. We were a table of 5 and our service was excellent. All of us were satisfied with our meals. Portions were way plentiful. The desserts were humongous, and so yummy. Our service was great. One thing I can’t get used to, or like, is when one person takes our order and someone else brings it out. They have to call out each item to figure out who gets what. I’m from Norfolk, and it’s not done there, much more personal service. I have yet to figure out why it’s always done in this area. Seems to me, just a little bit better coordination of waitstaff would solve this problem. That is not just this establishment. Aside from that, these guys are wonderful.

I loved the relaxed pace of the meal. It wasn’t fast, but that’s a big positive – I had a conversation with my family without feeling like I needed to eat and move out of the way for the next diners. (A grumpy couple next to us was all annoyed about their wait, but I got the impression they are the types that were going to complain about anything they could.)
