We had reservations for 7:15 on Friday night. When we arrived, there were two people on the first floor a party of 8 in a room and us. During our meal it did not fill up.

Let’s start with the positive, the steak had a wonderful flavor. Moving on: 1) don’t order a drink off the menu, the dry gin martini came out brown; 2) the on-menu old fashioned came out with an orange with the rind removed instead of the rind without the pulp; 3) we had a new waitress , which of fine but she wouldn’t write anything down and had to come back to us 4 times to verify our order; 4) we order steak medium rare but they came out rare, we would have sent them back to the grill for a minute but no one checked on us for about 20 minutes after dinner was delivered; 5) too much salt on everything; 6) I’m tired of writing, don’t waste your time.

Small and intimate but still well lit enough for a business dinner. They have light music playing 90s indi pop which was nice. Staff are well put together. Bathrooms are always a reflection of an establishments cleanliness and this steakhouse had a clean bathroom.

Albeit aesthetically dated, still tons of potential to be had. I’ll begin by saying the food was great. The taste was in line with what would be expected from a 4 star restaurant, but from there, it left much to be desired.

I’ll start with the Old Fashion I ordered, bartender didn’t know how to make it. Used club soda actually as an ingredient after soliciting some

Good but not great. Everyone in our group ordered steaks. The filet was good but the ribeyes were more fatty than normal ribeyes. Probably more along the lines of what I would expect from a diner. We shared several sides – salad, mushrooms and green beans – all were good. We ordered the “colossal cheese cake” to go which was described as “over 1/2 pound with fresh strawberries and puree” which turned out to be a thin slice with no toppings. (We should have double checked before leaving but still disappointing based on the description.) The bright spot was our server. Very helpful and accommodating.

We visited this dining establishment on Sunday, March 05, 2023. The restaurant opens at 5:00 pm and our reservations were at 5:00 pm. Upon entering the place, I noticed the floors were not totally clean, which caused me some concerns. My first thoughts were if the floor isn’t clean, how does the kitchen look? There was one waitress working and she was extremely pleasant and accommodating. We ordered an appetizer, I had a salad, and then we ordered entrees. The food was good. The mash potatoes and green beans are excellent! The artichoke and spinach dip was a little salty, but nevertheless good. Overall, the place is okay, but will I be racing to return, probably not.

The food was okay. Nothing special about it. New York Strip was very fatty, to the point I think they may have served us a ribeye. We dined at 6:30 on a Saturday night and we’re the only table in the restaurant for most of our time. Two more tables came in right as we were leaving. We were in and out in less than 40 minutes, so not sure what that means for how they are preparing the food. There was no music, no tv on, no nothing in the restaurant. Just silence. I personally won’t return as there are far better steak options for the price, but I could see why someone wouldn’t mind eating here, especially if they are in a hurry and don’t want fast food.
