First time visit to this place in Simi Valley California. Tried it and wasn’t over keen. Two stars for the service. The server was really nice and sweet (additional star) for Food served hot from the kitchen that we could see right into. No problem there really. It was very busy with takeaway, so obviously a lot of people do like the place. Unfortunately not myself or my hubs. We are BBQ fans and maybe it’s done differently on west coast, who knows?? Salads were good and garlic bread was served hot and fresh.

So happy that Red’s food and service hasn’t changed….still the best tri tip, spinach salad and Chinese chicken salad. Staff are always amazing. And you haven’t raised your prices so that they are out of reach. This means I can eat out more often. Thank you for staying the course!!

This BBQ joint called Red’s is a well known restaurant in Simi. It was great to see they are still offering curbside pick up to anyone who wants to enjoy the comforts of eating at home, or still not completely comfortable eating out. We had lunch today and per usual it did not disappoint. The menu looks revamped and they have added a few specials. I like that they offer a full size and half size to their delicious salads. And who can resist the garlic rolls. Such a tasty starter to whatever you pick from the menu. Our waiter was attentive and on a hot day like today, he offered our drinks to go. This is the perfect lunch spot or dinner spot. Stop in to eat and browse the many shops nearby. A really great rolled ice cream shop is a few doors down and Homegoods. Who can resist ice cream and shopping at Homegoods?

I want to first and foremost say Lily, our waitress was amazing. If it weren’t for our waitress I probably would have gotten up and left. My family and I went Saturday afternoon. I ordered their one pound prime rib. I received the food and not only did it have over 1/4 lb. of fat the meat was very cold. The waitress stated they didn’t have any more available. I wasn’t really wanting anything else to replace it. The manager comes out with the same plate and the same piece of meat. She said this was warmer. Obviously they warmed it up in the microwave. The prime rib wasn’t medium Mike I wanted it. It was well done. I let the manager know that it was still cold and this is not medium like I originally requested. The manger Elsa took out her flashlight and argued with me saying it was medium. I have never been embarrassed at a restaurant like I was. And to have a manager do this in front of her team or my family is completely unacceptable. Beware if you come here. You might get cold food and when you complain about the food be prepared to get the third degree.

I ordered the family tri tip pack for dinner. I was told 25 minutes so I showed up about 30 minutes later and was told my order wasn’t ready, which wasn’t a super big deal.
