Our favorite spot in town! Any time a friend comes to visit, we always take them here and they LOVE it.

The fried rice is flavorless & the chxn looked as if it was boiled & just thrown on top of my ” fried rice” & never even seen the frying pan. Let down twice before with the Gen.Tsoas & now this. No more!

Place really went downhill over the past two years. Doesn’t matter when you order anymore the chicken is weird texture and like sticky gross sauce, dumplings are usually burnt and the rice is slightly undercooked or overcooked. Also it’s usually barely warm. Used to be the best in town. Check out other local spots before choosing this one.

Great and delicious food. Ordered two lunch specials & had them at my house not even 15 minutes later. Absolutely yummy food & great prices. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I ordered by phone and was very pleased. Our order was completely correct. The spring rolls were crispy and delicious. Sesame chicken was superb (couldn’t find on menu), crab rangoons were very good and Mongolian beef was delicious. We had chicken with Chinese vegetables and asked for their homemade hot chili sauce which added the right amount of heat. I was happily surprised that the food was so good. We’ve lived here for 6 months and have been very disappointed by many other Chinese restaurants. THIS IS MY NEW GO TO CHINESE RESTAURANT! Highly recommend! Thank you, thank you!!

This is a really good Chinese place to eat I swear everything I have tasted off the menu has been quality and very delicious. I almost underestimated the pad tie But the chef came out and assured me at the best Pat tie in town down so I had to do it and try it and who had to say it was amazing. I also ordered some beef from broccoli that was on hit and did not disappoint me at all. I have to say this is probably the best Chinese food in Altoona there’s a lot of options so please take time to look and enjoy this beautiful dinner

Well, I tried Great China for the first time today after living in Altoona for almost 10 years because Lychee is closed on Mondays. I was highly disappointed and underwhelmed. I truly don’t understand why this place has such good reviews. The general tso chicken was mushy and as another reviewer mentioned – the texture was like a frozen Chinese meal in a bag. The sauce is extremely thick, but ok flavor which is why I give it 2 stars instead of 1. I figured the crab rangoons can’t be hard to mess up, but I was wrong. They don’t seem to have any cream cheese in them whatsoever and somewhat of a mushy seafood mix in them. I definitely have no desire to order from here again and will stick with Lychee. I won’t be saving any of my leftovers for tomorrow and will consider this a waste of money/lesson learned.
