I asked for a Malbec, and the staff searched the wall racks of wine and poured us a French Malbec. I’ve never had a French Malbec, so it was nice to see and experience a variety. My companion is an exclusive meat and potato eater, so imagine my surprise when he ordered not 1 but 2 servings of the butternut squash ravioli! Honestly, the ravioli were so good. I ordered the vegetarian morrocan tagine. Both dishes were delicious but the ravioli…get the ravioli, ijs!

This place is amazing! Our first night at NorthStar and we decided to pop in here for dinner. I’m so glad we did! We sat in a cozy spot with a view of the village and the wine. We got a bottle of the Hunt & Harvest Cab (big and juicy red) and started with the charcuterie. Next, we got the Butternut squash ravioli, broken meatball spaghetti and a classic grilled cheese with tomato soup. HOLY COW! Everything had unexpected flavors and it was incredible. Highly recommend stopping in here if you are around!

This is one of those places that you’ll avoid in all future trips. Portions are too small, prices are too high, and a very limited menu. The service was like in a small town dive bar… the server borderline rude. Might be good to go just for the wine.

Food was exceptional, and very reasonably priced in relation to other options in the Village. Good selection of wines with the option of getting a 3 wine tasting ‘flight’ (3 smaller glasses) for about the same price as 1 regular glass, which works very well with the small/share plates.

Food was awesome, some of the best I’ve ever had. The wine pairing was larg, great, and complemented the food to the very best. The Chef did wonderful making my pork, and my wife had the best grilled cheese that I got demoted from making them at home. The service was prompt and I was not in need. As Dan Cummins says “awesome, wouldn’t change a thing. 3/5 stars,” and I would not change a thing, go there ASAP and enjoy one of the best meals I’ve, no we, ever had.

If you are looking for an elegant apres ski experience, Petra Wine bar is the place for you. We have been coming to Northstar for years, and yet this is the first time we added Petra to our dining repertoire. Boy were we delighted! Even though ski resorts often offer average experience for a high price, Petra’s service matches even the best fine dining experiences off mountain. The cocoa rubbed bavette steak was delicious. The salmon was sumptuous. The staff know their wines. We had the Seek Chardonnay which was mellow and smooth. We will definitely come back!!!

Beware. They charge $5 for 1 tasting and $17 for 3 tastings. When confronted with their lack of understanding of basic math the manager was extremely rude and hostile. I would recommend avoiding this establishment.

I don’t mind spending $25-35 for an entree. If it’s good. Out group had 2 out of the 3 entrees. They lacked flavor and we’re uninspiring. The staff is not especially helpful on wine selections. Wine was on average 2.5 times retail prices…which is high for a restaurant. Maybe if price points were lower on the dishes the expectations wouldn’t be as high.
