This place was trashed… nothing was clean. Grease was old so made food taste gross… fish was over cooked and dried out. No crumbs even after i asked when i ordered. Store floor had like 100 layers of Grease on every surface. Just grosss… please do better.

I was asked to park in a designated spot after ordering in the drive thru. I parked, and waited 25 minutes before reluctantly going in to ask about my order (I had thrown my back out, so I wasn’t wanting to get out and walk). The manager grabs a bag without checking it, and hands it to me. I assumed it was my order, so I left. I get down the street, only to realize it isn’t my order. I return to let them know, only for the manager to throw a fit and make a point of throwing the returned order in the trash right in front of me and everyone else waiting in store, instead of offering to let me keep the food, plus the food I actually ordered that I was now waiting on. At this point, I’m uncomfortable, irritated, and have lost my patience, yet I continued to wait an additional 20 minutes for my “correct order,” making me late for where I needed to be, AND my order was still wrong. I won’t ever be back.

Ordered take out for my dad. Fish was rubbery and they were out of tarter sauce. He had been in the hospital for 10 days and was really looking forward to one of his favorite places to grab some grub…. Very disappointed ☹️

I don’t like to leave negative reviews, but my experience this time was not great. The service at the drive-thru speaker was slow. Moving the vehicles through was at a slow to moderate pace. The person at the window was very unfriendly. I smiled & said hi. It was met with “$32”. Gave them my card, took a minute or two, then they gave my card back. I was putting it away, then turned to look, they were dangling my bag at me. I told them I was sorry with a smile…still nothing from them. I placed the bag in my seat and noticed they were holding my drinks out the window. Again, I smiled & said “I’m sorry again”. Still they said nothing. Got my drinks and told them thank you again. They just closed the window.

Paid 21 $ for the new coconut shrimp Platter with two extra fish fillers the . To be cheated on the portions the platter is supposed to come with 3 hush puppies , two fillers, a decent amount of shirmps and two sides. We choose the green beans and fries me and my husband share meals when we know they are big enough . Well to our surprise when we got home and we see the small portions. No green beans no hush puppies and very little fries and shirmps oh and the box use for the platter is the small/medium box when is supposed to be the big one. Also as we where waiting for the order we saw the young teens workers there just fooling around instead of doing their job main reason for my disasters order.

The parking lot is unusual here, have to turn into another business’s parking lot to get to theirs. That being said everything was good. They do have cheese curds fried LJS style and it’s alot! I come for the hushpuppies.

I was in the mood for some fish, just wanted something different. Opted for the fish and shrimp special for $5.99. Drinks not included. Employees were slow, real slow taking my order. Once I received my food (to go) it was definitely hot and freshly cooked. Very tasty shrimp and fish. Didn’t eat the fries, just didn’t want them. Yes I’ll give them another try in a a year or so.

This place really goes above and beyond for their customers, in my experience. I occasionally drive 35 minutes to shop, and I always stop in to take home LJS, because the two in my town closed. The food is always fresh, and hot, and the manager, Derwin is so friendly, and accommodating. Recently, he was unable to open at the posted time, due to a lack of staff, but he made sure to get my order in, and out, himself, as quickly as possible. It’s sad that economic circumstance makes it so difficult to find people who want to work, and then you have gems like this man, and his staff who go out of their way to work through the headaches. Kudos, Derwin!!
