If you’re ever driving thru Newton, this is a must try! I would come back to Newton just for their food. The shrimp is seasoned to perfection! I typically don’t eat hush puppies, but I wanted to try theirs and they are delicious!!! Although they are not labeled fast food, you place your order at the window & they bring it to your car promptly. They’re very friendly & the food is worth every penny. Huge thank you to The Catfish Shack, I will be back!!!

Well, I have eating there before and enjoyed it, but had a terrible experience this past weekend. First I called at 8:03 on Friday and they were closed, on saturday I called at 7:30 and placed an order and was told to be there by 8 to get my food. Got there at 8 paid for my meal and at 8:30 I was still waiting. I ask about the meal and was TOLD rudely: IF YOU WANT FAST FOOD GO TO MCDONALDS!! I walked away and waited then the owner came and gave us our food and wanted to put his finger in our face, threatened us. I’ve ordered my food at 7:30 and after waiting for about 45 minutes was told that they didn’t have what we’ve ordered and they only had fries to go with it. Hes lucky we did not get out of the car. And to add injury to insult I purchased a 4 piece catfish, they were2 catfish cut in half to make it a 4 piece meal ??????? at $20!!!! they could pass as sardines!

Me and my wife live in Colquitt Georgia and we passed the busines a few times and everytime we went by the business they were closed but today we finally got a chance to stop by and the owners are nice people and the service was good the food was good and we will eat there again

Amazing, out of the way, dinner spot. Owned and operated by a local couple, they serve up great southern hospitality and some terrific food. If you happen to be anywhere near this place around supper time, you need to stop here. The menu is not very large. But you’ll be hard pressed to find anything on it that’s not delicious. EAT HERE!!!! You’ll love it!

We did a u-turn after seeing the sign! We ordered catfish filets and shrimp– loved both! The owner came and chatted with us and made sure we were enjoying it food. My 6 year old asked if we could stop at this place every time we go to Florida!!

I do reviews all the time to help others in the world eat and travel and find great places to have great experiences and I have never come across a place that handled the situation as tonight. I’ve got respect for everyone in this world and I am a very peaceful person but I was almost taken out of my character tonight. Words cannot explain how bad the situation was or how I feel. This quaint little hidden jewel in Newton, Georgia is wonderful! Some of the best seafood you’ll ever wrap your lips around! We had the catfish, onion rings and cheese grits! Yum!
