Burgers are 1/3lb handmade patties. Fresh green leaf lettuce, tomato, and red onion. The burger was seasoned perfectly. My husband had the sesame chicken. It was over sauced, too sweet and spicy. Stick to the burger!!

This is a great less expensive option to stop and eat on your way to/from Dogwood Canyon Nature Preserve. Good burgers and some of the best onion rings I’ve ever head. Very pleasant service. Your meal is going to cost you at least twice the price at the restaurant at Dogwood Canyon but you are paying for the spectacular view. I’d maybe have a drink at Dogwood to take in the view but save some money and fuel up for lunch or dinner at White Lightning.

Really good fries and good burgers. Their peanut butter sundae is the best! Friendly staff and really nice inside the restaurant. Lots of things to pick from. Glad there is something good here now instead of it just being an empty building like it used to be. Would definitely come back again!

I was pleasantly surprised. The food was great! I have driven by the White Lightning Restaurant many times but never went in. Well today I found out that it was my loss. The people are extremely friendly. The place is very clean and the food was delicious. I ordered the Bulldog (1/3rd lb hotdog) and waffle fries combo with a drink. I was expecting something like maybe sonic. Man was I wrong! This is a premium hotdog on a deluxe bun. I had them add grilled onions and cheese. I figured it would be a cheese sauce like you find at a convenience store. Wrong again, it was real cheese. The flavor was great! The waffle fries were cooked very well. Perfectly done. I will, without a doubt be back.

This was the first time we have stopped in at White Lighting and my wife and I were quite pleased with our experience. She ordered the General Chicken w/ white rice and I got The Royal Burger and waffle fries. All were pleasantly delicious. We also got to learn a little history of the area, as they have printed on their menus why the restaurant is called “White Lighting”. If you get the chance i recommend you stop by you will not regret it!!!

Ordered the Smurd Burger and Fries. Oh my gosh. I didn’t get a pic before devouring. They source as many ingredients locally as they can. Their beef is local and never frozen. The oil was very clean, by evidence of the fries. Just a hidden gem around Table Rock. Food options have always been limited in this area and these guys have an eclectic menu to say the least. We will absolutely be eating here again. Well done White Lighting, well done!
