Been here at least 6 times. Being we work only a few blocks away, my co workers and I frequent the place. The owner is great, and always checks in on his patrons. Wanting to ensure the food is good – and you are completely satisfied. Pricing is on point for what you get. I have had the brisket and pulled pork, and both are great. Not fatty like some noted. You can tell Mike cares about his reviews, as he responds to almost all of them. The kids are getting trained in now, and they seem to be pulling it together nicely. We really want them to succeed, as they offer a nice BBQ option for the area. I never went to Dickeys, but I do have to say Smokin Ogres is worth a stop. Try their Pepperjack Mac n Cheese and Sweet potato fries also. Pretty darn good. Sauces are great also. Mike uses a little maple syrup in the sweet sauce, and it is a great change from the standard sauces you find elsewhere. Keep up the good work and support your local businesses people! You won’t be disappointed.

Stopped in the day before the 4th to get food for a party. Mike was very helpful and got food together for 15 people within 10 minutes. Had brisket and pulled pork – awesome! Garlic mashed potatoes, coleslaw, beans and buns. Everyone raved about the food. Will definitely frequent Smokin Ogres again!

Very disappointed. This was our first time visit and we will not go back. They were out of garlic mashed potatoes and sausage. I ordered potato puffs and got waffle fries. We were the only people in there but no one was cleaning up and the place was filthy. I picked up a catsup bottle and it was greasy and i had to wipe it off before using it. Large pop cup was so thin and flimsy I thought it would crush in every time I picked it up. The kids behind the counter were nice though and gave us a free brownie for the order mix up.

First time here and the last. Brisket was dry as sawdust along with the wings being over deep fried. Wow if it’s always like this they won’t be in business long!! Smoked daily…. Like what last year..

There was no flavor in the “smoked” brisket and the smoked ham looked and tasted like a deli ham that was bought at cub the then thrown in a smoker for like 20mn. The 2 youngs guys working were doing their best but either need more training or help
