first and foremost, the beef stew here is done totally different. like many other Mexican restaurants I’ve been to, I was surprised here. the beef stew is nothing else but fajitas rancheras. is fajita in a sauce with a lots of onions which makes it so unique specially the flavors. it was delicious. very tasty. The place does not have too many decorations but the environment looks good. The waiter was very nice with us and of course, I just couldn’t help myself but strike a conversation with the waitress. she was funny and very nice.

The queso was very flavorful, the salsa was a weird beet red.. and didn’t taste all that great… but the mixed Fajitas were great. I asked for sour cream and didn’t get any, but wasn’t charged for it. I also got a shrimp cocktail… it was amazing….. and our waitress was very attentive.

I typically have a great time here but this last time we could not get ANYONE to serve us. We walked in, walked up to the counter, grabbed some menu’s and asked if we could sit. They told us we could sit anywhere we wanted and no one came to serve us. After 10 minutes a group of people came in and got served and already ordered so we walked out. That is the first time ive had that happen. Usually they are very nice. The food however is amazing there. But i do not recommend based of their service today alone.

It might just be my European taste and requirements for cleanliness, but this place should be shut down. It was convenient to the hotel but simply awful. I was shocked to learn the restaurant is part of a chain and this gruel is being replicated all over Houston? If I don’t get ill, it’s a bonus. I don’t ever write reviews, but Jesus Christ people, sort it out.

Food quality is not aligned with price. Service was lacking, and the restaurant was not busy when we ate. It may be due to our party not speaking Spanish, but refilling drinks should be a standard service. The refried beans were great. Nothing else we had was worth recommending. Possibly we just stopped by on an off day.

The last couple of times the food was served cold. I loved going here because the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is fun. But food service has been lacking. Won’t be going back any time soon as issues were addressed to management both times and seems to not be addressed to staff.

Sat down, clearly spanish is not my native language. Could not even get someone to bring us chips and salsa or ask us if we wanted a drink, let alone order food or even acknowledge us even though others were being serviced shortly after sitting down. Worst experience ever at an Arandas and will never be going back to this location.

I tried three times. First time a pozole on weekend. Basically all pork was stranded, we can call it pozole “cream” instead. Second time the taco plate. Small tacos Pastor, it was small pieces like ground beef not really good flavor compared with any pastor taco I had before. The lemon they gave was dried as a sponge. Third and last time I was there and the reason I write this. they give me a plate with Walmart tortilla. The tortilla was so awful that they deserve the one star. Basically the food didn’t have good flavor but the tortilla was terrible.

EXPENSIVE for TRASH, UNFRESH food in the middle of the afternoon!!! Take out line was wrapped from the front ordering window to around the back of the building. There is NO drive through ordering menu displayed here, NONE, no signage, NO ORDERING MENU outside. Absolutely ridiculous. Since I got trapped w/no way to exit due to one line & cars in front and back of me, I sat there 20min before I could even get to the window to order. Then the lady taking orders at the window says “what can i get you”, well how do i know??? I haven’t looked at a menu, SMH!! Then she was the same lady running outside to give the ppl their orders! Staff tell ppl to move up by moving their hands manually, waving, & yelling @ ppl in their vehicles! Then ppl in their cars don’t move up far enough for you to order @ the window or ask for a menu. SMH by the time I get to the window IDK what I want b-c there ain’t NO MENU. The food was nasty! I got fajitas quesidilla. It was supposed to be! It was literally so grinded, it looked like the smashed taco meat in the jack in the box tacos! I was like what in the world is this?? Not even fajitas meat. Food was nasty. I would not recommend. It was not fresh. Not even the rice! It seamed reheated. IDK how the place is still up & running. It must be due to the Holiday Inn across the street. Those out of towners must be keeping this place in business! Will not return here! Disgusted
