My partner and I ate here for the first time last night and our experience was excellent! We had were impressed by every course we had. I had the hanger steak which was delicious but dessert was my favorite course. We had the olive oil cake with homemade whipped cream and mixed berry compote. It was delicious, even better than we expected! We’ll definitely be returning for future dinners. I highly recommend coming here for a date night!

This used to be my favorite place, but they just redid the menu- prices have doubled and quality has gone down markedly. Our previous favorite appetizer- The goat cheese and honey crostini, was now rendered inedible because the wonderful crostini was replaced by stale bread so hard it hurt to chew. The Mushroom Lasagna was $38 and was dried out and flat. It’s a shame because this place was our favorite go-to restaurant until now. I hope they find a way back to their former glory.

Chef Ben Scola and his staff are aces at what they do at this BYOB in Cape May Court House just off exit 10 of the GSP 3 miles from Stone Harbor. Imaginative interpretations of classic dishes such as the Caprese Salad & perfectly prepared entreés such as Rack of Lamb and killer desserts make this a must visit. Destination dining worthy open every evening.

Nice atmosphere, outside is a little more casual, I have always found the inside closer to fine dining. Had the Kale salad and goat cheese appetizers tonight and they were outstanding. Usually the service is great. Tonight I requested a glass for my BYOB and waited 10 minutes before I walked up and got my own. I ordered the Steak and Cake special. The crab cake was really good. I had ordered a medium rare steak that came out well done. While the seasoning was good, it was too over cooked to eat. I did not eat the filet. The person who ran the apps, drinks and dinner meals was very nice and attentive. The waitress stopped and asked how the meal was and then without pausing for the answer said ‘good’ and left. I have been here multiple times and this was the first time that I was disappointed in the service and the food. I will no longer recommend this restaurant,

We have eaten at Scola several times . This visit was different. We sat in the room to the side which is poorly lit and doesn’t have the charm of the main dining room. The menu was limited and three items on the menu weren’t available. We started with the house made Ricotta and a special heirloom tomato. The ricotta was excellent. I wouldn’t get the tomato again. My wife ordered the salmon which she described as “ok”. I ordered the pork chop which was a special but it was not special at all. It was overcooked and dry. I should have sent it back but I ate half of it. The green beans weren’t cooked. The service was surprisingly slow. Our appetizer plates sat on our table for at least 15 -20 minutes and I had to ask someone to clear them. Everyone is entitled to a bad night. We will go back and give it another try at some point.

Seriously such good food!! Although I liked the appetizers more than the entrees. The entrees were still amazing but the appetizers were more creative and fun. They also brought out a special dessert for my mom’s birthday and the server was so sweet. The chef also came out and spoke to us which was nice. The outdoor seating was absolutely beautiful and a lovely COVID friendly experience. Definitely make a reservation though!

We’ve had dinner at Scola’s several times and recommend it highly for fresh and fabulous food. Chef Ben and his crew really get it right with the cuisine and service. Scola’s has outdoor dining on the back patio and is BYOB. It’s a lovely, quiet place for a special night out.
