Loved the plaza grill tonight. Our service was friendly and efficient. The Mahi Mahi tacos were very filling and delicious. The sweet potato fries perfect with a custom house made dipping sauce. The macaroni appetizer was luke warm and the center was cold. The raspberry brie chicken sandwich had a small chicken strip on it that didnt even go across the sandwich.($19 it should have had a chicken breast). And when we asked about desert, the waitress seemed bothered, and just set a paper on our table with some deserts listed. Not to mention she left a.pile of plates on the table in our way while we ate. This place used to be so much better. We wont be going back after this experience. A busy Friday night, but everyone was having a good time. The lettuce on my Mediterranean Salad was torn too large and it was overdressed but the scallops were excellent. My husband enjoyed the gluten free burger.

Eclectic menu makes for some interesting dinner combinations..I had Pan Seared Scallops for the App, and Shepards Pie for the Main! Both were PERFECT. The bar was solid, but pours were on the tight side… The decorations for Christmas were wonderful and provided numerous family photo opportunities!! All and all a great place for a special dinner, or a quick meal before a live show at the ACL..Highly recommend when you are in Arcata.

Excuse the funky photos, the lighting creates great ambiance but makes picture taking a bit challenging 😉 Definitely a must try. Spacious dining area. Lots of great menu staples, plus daily specials that are truly special. Dishes are pleasing to the eye and palette. An omnivore’s delight.

We didn’t have reservations so we sat at the bar. Our waitress was really nice. The bartender was too. The food was so delicious. Way better than when we went there a few years ago. The halibut was so good and the Rib eye was cooked perfectly. We tried the tropical spritzer and it had a great flavor.
