The egg sandwich was really good to eat, took my back to my time in Asia. The curries bother the spicy Thai and the beef curry were really well done and had a ton of flavor.

I bet my wife and I tried for at least 5 times to get in for dinner and this restaurant was packed every time we tried.

This place felt like what I would think a Japanese Curry restaurant would feel like. The place is packed, so if you decide to go I would suggest either getting there 30 min early or making a reservation. If you do by chance go there without a reservation and want fast seating, just eyeball the bar area and snag a few seats when other people leave. It’s a busy place so don’t expect calmness or luxury dining, but rather hustle and bustle and some good food. Speaking of the food it was delicious! For the main entree I got Japanese Katsu Curry which I would highly recommend to anyone who has no idea what they are looking to eat for that day. It’s the perfect blend of savory with a little bit of spice. I wouldn’t recommend the famous strawberry or strawberry ube cream Sando. Sure it pictures well but it tastes like if it was a Hawaiian roll with vanilla yogurt and strawberries squished in between. It was good, but honestly just not my cup of tea for dessert. Overall this is a place you must go to if you want classy street food feel.

Awesome Japanese curry and sandwich cafe. Loved everything we had. I had the side by side with two curries. The spicy chicken katsu sando (sandwich) on Japanese milk bread was soft yet crunchy.

My party was greeted & seated immediately. Our food literally came within seconds of ordering. No wait in drinks or food and the portions were very good. The spicy chicken katsu was amazing, and my wife got the grouper katsu. The strawberry Ube sandwich was so amazing and tasted like a strawberry shortcake! We are locals from Orlando and coke to Jacksonville for work every so often and this will now be on our list to return to!

Wanted to update my review since they’ve changed over to a Japanese Curry menu – still excellent!!! In fact I think I like it even more. Service is still amazing, food is so fresh and we’ve loved everything we’ve tried. Definitely get the dessert sando’s! The only thing I miss is the rice balls

We went here on a weeknight. It was a little busy with a little wait but not very long (5 minutes). Staff were very friendly and accommodating. My only complaint is that the place seemed very small with very limited seating. They have tables outside but it was too hot to sit there.

The portion for rice and curry here is HUGE! I found this place on Instagram and wanted to give it a try before driving to New York from Tampa. I was really excited to try their sandwiches since I didn’t want to eat something too heavy before the long trip, but they were out of bread. So I just ended up ordering their Japanese curry and rice which it did not disappoint. We order Koko shrimp as an appetizer and that was delicious! Highly recommend. Their curry was delicious and full of beef. We also ordered the strawberry ube and melon/blueberry cream bread. I didn’t like the melon cream bread as much, but definitely recommend the strawberry ube. I love the interior decor and it’s such a cute place for date night. Highly recommended and the waitress was friendly and informative.

Went for the first time on 8/11, around 5:30pm, and really loved the vibe and atmosphere of the place. They were playing 80s Japanese music which we really enjoyed as well. I got the Katsu curry, and I loved the curry but the katsu was so disappointing. The breading of the chicken was mushy and immediately fell off the cutlet. Not at all how I’ve had it before at other places. The dessert sandos are well worth the visit though and are definitely the highlight. We got the Tanjiro and ube sandos and they were honestly so much better than I could have imagined. Definitely go for the curry and dessert, but pass on the katsu.
