We visit St James occasionally, and usually enjoy the atmosphere and service, but tonight was the exception! We were seated outside (which is what we asked for because it was a beautiful night). We were completely ignored by both waitresses. Maybe because we are 70+?? (Just saying). We had to get our own drinks by the outside bartender. Someone in our party asked for a rare steak sandwich with sauteed onions. She was served a (over) well done sandwich with crispy onions on it. Our waitress apologized, but, too little, too late.

I’ve been going here for 30 years – great memories even going with my grandfather. It is by far the best Irish pub in the area and the food is excellent. It was also recently renovated nicely a few years ago and they added an outdoor area that is excellent. More recently, the service has been very slow which is why it only is getting 4 stars.

The bartender that worked there tonight, 5/24/23, was absolutely horrendous. One of my friends accidentally spilled his drink, and instead of DOING HIS JOB and cleaning it up, he decided to flip out and curse him out. And not just once either, but for several minutes and some time after too. Absolutely horrendous service, and honestly if he hates his job that bad, he should either quit or be fired. We will not be back. Was a group of 6 of us, and he could have had the business take in lots of money and lots of tips, but after that he and this establishment lost out for good!

Stopped in late night, sat down and couldn’t get service. Bartender said they’d send someone over after several minutes and watching at least 10 employees standing around we left. It’s unfortunate that we couldn’t get service as we planned on ordering drinks and a late night appetizer. Go somewhere where your business is valued.

My Fiancé & I came here and enjoyed their food! Their Everything Pretzel Sticks were really good! My fiancé had a Guinness(cuz..why not? ☘) and a Shepards Pie. I had their most delicious St. James Burger! . We really enjoyed the decor of it!
