Really surprised this place is still open. When we got there we saw a big pile of raw pork sitting out in the dining room adjacent to where we were seated. When we left it was still sitting there. The server came by once to take our order and once to drop it off. Never once came back which was especially frustrating because she gave me something other than what I ordered. I was able to finish mine because I was so hungry my fiance’s lemon chicken was so bad she didn’t have more than 2 bites and left the rest. I eventually had to get up to find the server to pay because she just left us without ever coming back.

Best Chinese take out/delivery on the windward side, in my opinion. This restaurant really cares about each dish and pours love into it.

Best soup been 12 years since I left Kailua and the owner still remembers me and my order always ate here for lunch when I lived here. Happy it was still open enjoyed the soup still tastes as delicious as I remember it.

The crispy Gau Gee and rice tasted fine. But we did not like anything else we ordered. Which was Mongolian Beef and Stuffed Tofu. Burnt beef and onion or at least over cooked. I used to love stuffed tofu. But this was spongy, so maybe if you like fried tofu it would be different for you. But the taste of the sauce was not to my liking at all. I prefer the traditional gravy. Very rarely do I not eat something outright. Not for me at all.

It makes me sad that on a Friday night (7/12), at dinner time, this place was absolutely dead. We were the only people dining in at the time so we were of course immediately seated. The food is fantastic here! I came here with a party of 7, including some family from the mainland, and everyone was impressed with the food quality. The dishes that were fried were fried well so it was crisp but not oily, and everything else was seasoned well and flavorful. The Taro Duck and fried string beans is a must have if you’re into that kind of thing! Many local Chinese restaurants add tons of MSG so you’re incredibly thirsty afterwards; but not this place: which I really love. The Chinese women taking our order was very nice and attentive as well! They even brought us a complimentary dessert.

Hands down best Chinese food on the island. Absolute best Peking duck I’ve ever had also. Food here is consistently excellent and the service is A+ always.

Great food and authentic recipes make this a hidden gem! Affordable food with authentic (and some not so authentic) roots in southern China. Had a great conversation with the waitress who was very knowledgeable. I wouldn’t be surprised if she was family of the ownership.

I love this place. their crispy gaugee is very crispy, just the way I like it. Their crispy gaugee min with cake noodle is excellent. No annoying tako or shrimp, which I hate in gaugee min. We always order the crispy gaugee min. Yesterday we also tried the minute chicken : amazing. Can’t believe I haven’t ordered that before! So crispy and seasoned just right. I didn’t try the bitter melon, but my dad said it was really good. The best part is my dad didn’t have a hack attack like he often does at Chinese restaurants. He is my gauge on whether a place uses chemicals like MSG. We come here about 2x a month and are never disappointed. The crispy roast pork is also very good, as well as the tarp duck. Yum!
