Totally worthy, all the dishes were excellent. My favs were the pinto bean hummus and the Crispy Brussel sprouts app. The waffles had an amazing butter and chutney. Goat cheese mixed green salad amazing. Oh and the chicken was excellent! Huge portions well worth it.

Food was delicious!!! Highly recommend getting the fried half bird and splitting it if you are just planning on gettin chicken strips (it’ll save you some money). Asked the server if both gravies were gluten free as it was our first visit & it said on the menu gravIES- waitress said not sure & didn’t offer to check :/. When food was brought out it was a different staff member so I asked and they checked and both gravies are gluten free so I asked for some- easy peasy. Waited on refills for other beverages that were not water. The deviled eggs came out without crispy chicken sticks – asked waitress and she said they must be out of chicken sticks and didn’t tell her :/ – she didn’t offer to ask or double check or take off our ticket. Food was delicious otherwise, but waitress needs to work on her knowledge or be properly trained- we all have off days but these issues could have easily been fixed, or they need to hire additional staff to help take care of tables. It seemed to be a busy weekday evening and our wait without a reservation was about 45 minutes, but that is not an excuse.

Best friend chicken in Colorado for like ever and for good reason. No pic because we devoured it before we could take a picture of it. AND the breading is GF and deliciously wonderful (and the pickles and mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese)….it was all wonderful and a kickass view to go with!

Tried The Post for the first time while on vacation! Ordered it to-go back to our cabin (much easier with a toddler! ). Check-in staff were very personable at pickup, order was ready when we arrived and was very well packaged, and we ended up loving every bit of our food! We had The Post salad, a Fried Chicken Sandy, a kid’s meal, and an order of Cheddar Biscuits. Thrilled with the entire meal, and we’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in Estes. Thank you!

Oh my goodness this place is the place to be for fantastic food, good beer, great service at a memorable location. How amazing is it that it is located on the Stanley Hotel property. So beautiful. They have chicken and waffles Colorado style! Definitely recommend!

Friendly service. Had fried chicken sandwich. Very tasty if a bit on the dry side. Chicken dinners and Mac and cheese looked excellent. My guests had the pulled chicken salad and chicken tenders. Both were impressed.

Great food, excellent service by Ocean! We had the chicken and waffles, half chicken, chicken tenders, and the burger. Kid eating the burger wasn’t a fan, but everything else was really good! Don’t miss the little library down stairs by the bathrooms!

If you are gluten free DO NOT pass up the opportunity to try this super friendly spot. I got the bone in half bird and it was the crunchiest tastiest GF chicken I’ve had in years! There are tons of GF options on the menu including their creamy grits which were also delicious. My only complaint is that I wish our server was a bit more knowledgeable about the menu. He had a hard time making recommendations and didn’t know what they used to bread their chicken. Would definitely recommend this spot!
