Short: Food was good and service was also overall nice. The toppings and broth are particularly good.

I’m obsessed with their karaaage aka fried chicken. The dark meat chicken is so darn tender and flavorful. I get it as an appetizer every time.

This is one of my favorite ramen places in the DMV! They always have cool specials like yuzu tsukemen (dipping ramen) for summer or Ebi Wonton ramen just for the weekend and the staff is always so nice and friendly!

A great not so hidden-hidden gem in Bethesda. Zao is delicious and does not hold back on their flavor profile. Casual spot for any occasion, on Mondays they have a special on the house ramen. Make sure you read their menu, two dishes are non refundable but funny to watch ppl endure

Good food, fast service, reasonably priced. HOWEVER, the 1st time I came here, I found a large piece of plastic attached to the meat in my ramen. I told the server, who went to talk to the chef… and the SERVER apologized, not the chef. Seriously what a coward chef to not apologize in person and rather hide in his kitchen. Today, I found an egg shell. I’m all for family owned restaurants, but when there’s enough neglect to not know how to properly serve edible food, this will be my last visit. The place is always empty and if this happened 2/5 times I came here, I’m sure this happens to others so come at your own risk of food poisoning or consuming non-edible products

It was a good experience. The noodles were nice and chewy. The both was also flavorful. I got the Tokyo Tonkotsu. I would most likely order it again.

The Stamina Ramen was excellent, especially the noodles. The fried chicken appetizer was yummy too. I like the way you pay first, so by the end when your soup belly tells you it’s time to go, there’s no waiting on a check.

I tried vegan tan tan and summer special yuzu tsukemen in two days. They both were tasty!

Probably closer to a 4.5. Service was fast especially for a party of 11. Ramen had good flavor and large slices of meat. Small appetizer portions and paper cups take away from the vibe. Projectors were a nice touch though.
