We Waited in Line for 20 minutes on a Saturday around 6pm. Then was told it would be a 30 minute wait once we reached the register. I had to use the rest room, once I came back they were able to get us in. The Server was very friendly. She kept checking on us with a smile.

We were anticipating a wonderful meal at Golden Corral, such as we’d had a couple weeks prior, which is why we were eager to go again so soon. How opposite and disappointing this latest trip was! We arrived around 4:30 pm. The dinner foods were already depleted (after a half hour?) and in some cases, such as the meatloaf, not even put out. We had to request both meatloaf & shrimp. The foods that were out were dried & unappetizing. We scrounged a few items to tide us over while we waited for the foods we had come for especially. Meanwhile, the steak server was rather rude when I asked for medium-rare & he offered me 2 blue meats in a row. At dessert time, the blueberry pie was devoid of fruit. It was a wall of pectin. The manager did respond to our requests for certain foods to be filled, which is why the rating is 3 stars instead of 2. However, where was the quality control? Again, incredibly disappointing.

First off the cups our drinks were in were greasy. My son’s cup had crusty food all over it!!! Which we took picture of. I was overcharged. They charged me for 5 people and we had 4 in our party. Many of the dishes were not even hot. Don’t recommend this place if you’re looking to eat in a clean environment.

Friendly and courteous staff. Variety of food. Something to please everyone. Was there between lunch and dinner menu. Had the steak. So tender and flavorful. Salad very fresh. Didn’t have a bad thing to eat. If you have a family member who can’t go..ask about their to go plate.

The selection was slim and the food tasted bland all from two exceptions. The meatloaf was delicious and on point and then there was the smokehouse BBQ chicken that was delightful. The hushpuppies were the worst, felt as if I was trying to eat a 3 week old Popeyes biscuit. I did not get to try the ice cream or frozen products as I said, the selection was limited. My lord the prices, it’s ok for 2 people to show up on lunch for 10.99 but at dinner your paying almost 22.34 per person with drink and all after taxes. I paid 44.68 for me and my buddy after our trip to the Tri-County Fair. I honestly thought they double charged my card so I called them back instantly.

Keep going here thinking they’ll get better don’t know why the Rockford location is always so bad. I’ve gotten sick three times now. Other Golden corrals have food that tastes better and it’s warm and they actually care.
