They have some dishes that are great, some that are good some that are meh. Today, my fish tacos were okay. The tortillas were over cooked so it was hard and stiff. I couldn’t tell if my fish was over fried or had scales. But the third taco I figured it was to tortilla. I was too hungry to send it back. The server was great. She warned us the kitchen was backed up and gave us updates. The half price draft beer was also pretty awesome. Food 3 stars. Service 5 stars. So 4 star average.

My soft pretzel was so hard you could hammer with it. I did love the mustard it came with and My fries came drenched in grease. They tasted like old grease. The Cesar salad was the only thing I enjoyed.

We had the best experience at Hillgrove Tap tonight. I’m so grateful to Chris and Mark and our sever Liz for truly going above and beyond. It was very busy when we walked in at 7pm on Saturday night. We were there with 3 small kids and Mark was so kind to seat us right away taking us around the back of the bar so I wouldn’t have to navigate the step up to the dining room with a stroller. As soon as we were seated Mark offered to put in an appetizer for us. The food was so good. The service was very attentive and we were treated like family. Thank you.

Hillgrove tap is a must! I work in the area, so I am frequently ordering the grilled cheese bites and tomato soup bisque for lunch. It’s delicious! Plus Chris and the staff are so friendly and always are welcoming when you stop in for a bite to eat!

From out of town and wanted to have a quick bite and beer with friends. This place was AWESOME! The staff was incredible and Chris, the owner, was so nice! Tried their new pumpkin cheesecake and I highly recommend it for a sweet fall treat to end the meal 🙂

I have given this place a few chances to get it right but honestly I won’t go there ever again. Service is awful. Food mediocre. The menu lacks variety. This last visit our waitress was more concerned with getting her own meal and going out for a smoke then checking on their tables. Will never go back.
