Love the service and the food was great! Highly recommended, and for the price, can’t be beat! I ordered a burrito and a juice and it cost $14. The juice was huge and I took half the burrito home with me since I couldn’t finish it. Love the free pumpkin seeds and chips for appetizers. If you’re near here, especially after visiting the contemporary art museum, you just have to stop by!

I ordered a fried shrimp barito with beans, rice, and a side of salad. Everything was cooked to perfection. There were two sauces. I recognize one as a cucumber sauce, and I’m not sure of the other. I also had a homemade mango juice. It was delicious. There wasn’t any sweetener added. Overall, I will be a returning customer, and I recommend LA MORENITA MEXICAN RESTAURANT.

La Morenita Mexican Restaurant is located inside of the Elizabeth Shopping Mall so you’ll have plenty parking. I ordered the Enchiladas Especiales (Special Enchiladas) with Cecina (Salty seasoned beef) smother with green tomatillo salsa rice and beans ($11.50)

We’ve been to many Mexican restaurants in the Tri-State are and La Morenita is the best in terms of authenticity, taste, and price. It may not be the best in appearance, but the food is what keeps us coming back!
