Shady’s Hometown Tavern and Event Center restaurant located just off I-94 in Albany, MN has a wide variety of food and drinks to help you unwind. We offer daily lunch and happy hour specials along with weekly bingo and meet raffles seasonally. Our location in Albany also serves as an event venue. We are equipped with 3 banquet rooms and can serve up to 600 people. The large wedding and banquet room is handicapped accessible and has a large 45×50 foot dance floor that can be used for additional seating or dancing the night away. We also are equipped to cater your next event! From graduation to corporate events, we have you covered. Open from 11 am to 2 am Tuesdays through Sundays and closed on Mondays. Stop in today!

Great food and atmosphere!! Couldn’t believe the size of the proportions!! I ordered the Nachos to share with someone else – and we couldn’t finish it. Another person in our group ordered a salad and it looked like a huge mixing bowl!

The evening I visited, the staff was overwhelmed. Service was poor. We waited nearly an hour and a half for food to arrive, and when it did some of the orders were incorrect. It was also uncomfortable and noisy. The orders that were correctly delivered were adequate, but not worth the wait.

We had a great experience, with great food and awesome service. The staff in the Event Center side helped us with the TV watching the Frozen Faceoff. The waitress serving our 11 people did an outstanding job. Best service we have had in years.

For some reason, the two bars next to each other on this block seem to be suffering from an identity crisis. One calls itself a tavern, but it more closely resembles what I would describe as a sports bar. The other call themselves a sports bar, but it definitely has more of a tavern feel.
